Wow i gotta give it to the guy good idea... but ya you should definitely report him if he's taking money out of your pocket.

Google will catch this stuff eventually, but not before they've made some money. It's an endless fight between spammers and their engineers, both sides are making money so they will both keep coming up with new tricks.

 

you would think that when it is being done on a domain that Google actually own themselves, they would be on top of it more than they seem to be wouldn't you?

this is like the ultimate snub to Google, not only is he cheating his way to the top, but he's using their own domain to fool their algorithm.

 

It all boils down to your ethics then
Anyway I was not talking about the link building technique but how they ranked a blogger comment page ..

 

yes, sometimes black hat SEO get good ranking than real sites, but for a longer term i never suggest shortcuts like Black Hat SEO.

Do you know that the guy who ranks #1 in Google for "cheap seo service" is actually doing the same with DP forum??

 

If you want to be a SEO you should know and exactly understand all White and Black techniques. If you do not understand them then you can't have any good results. I dont encourage anybody to used black techniques, but it is important to know them.

 

Read this old (-ISH, well google serps I guess 8 months is ancient) thread with interest.

The problem is fixed on viagra at least. Anyone know if it was fixed by an algorithm change or manual zap of the specific abuser referred to.

The blogger page has I suspect also been zapped. Unfortunately as I'm in Bangkok now I get a page of Thai from Blogger and no link to get it in English - smart (not).

Anyway just wonder if those concerned watched it more closely and can comment on when the hole was plugged and manually or by changing the robot.

On whether bitching about it or reporting to daddy G is the best policy, it depends whether you want to support and help G to maintain their near-monopoly or not. Reporting to G supports G (in a small way), dissing them here slowly erodes theri reputation (in a very small way ... more importantly is the cathartic effect on poster). I used to see XXX loves google all over the net, that era seems to hhave passed.
