Do you think Social bookmarking can help u in link development ?

For me it is convenient and helpful because

Firstly, social Bookmarks can be accessed throughout the world from any computers where you will simply log in to your account.

Secondly, you are able to share your favorite links with friends, a community, or even sharing with the World Wide Web.

Next, you can also get involved in communities quickily with similar interests as you.

Lastly, you will be able to keep an extensive list on the web that you think is worth to bookmark such as blogs, articles and etc.

How about you? Do you think it is helpful ?

 

first off this post is kinda similar to your last one...

secondly, imo it depends on the site to determine if its good for web 2.0 or not.

if you have a generic site then its a waste of time...if your site is unique and controversial then it will benefit.

Social bookmarking is good. Free deep links to your inner pages and some traffic too. When free and traffic are spoke in the same sentence, it normally is a good thing!

Definately. Even if you don't get alot of hits off them, its still links.

yes, very useful J. i try that already. there are some social bookmarking sites that has dofollow links

 

They are good for driving traffic, but these links are not that helpful for SEO purposes.

 

IMO it is always good .

Yes i also believe social bookmarking is the best so far.

 

I think its a good way to get some high PR dofollow links to your site. Although it takes a while finding the appropriate sites, registering and adding your links.

Don't know how this could be bad in SEO terms as someone said above

 

A question from a social bookmarking noob...

I assume that one of the things that an SEO firm does is not only add the social bookmarks, etc., but have a, er, team of people voting favorably for the bookmark? Anybody know what this costs?

 

The links have to be dofollow in order for it to count for Google... if they aren't dofollow, it will help for MSN....

 

there are also dofollow links for some social bookmarkings sites. So i feel its a great way!

From my experience Social Bookmarks offer very little for Placement in the SERPs and PR. The best thing they can give you is traffic but I wouldn't waste much time trying to do this yourself. if you focus on creating kick ass content or have an amazing site it will happen naturally and things have a better change of going "hot" on most social networks if original submissions to a domain are coming from a wide variety of users.

Summary:
Your time creating content > your time submitting to social bookmarking and network sites
