Just curious if anyone has ever been part of a program made under the minimum payout, say $10 of $25 or something and actually got their $10? I figure most people just chalk it up as a loss, because it's not worth the hassle, but thought I'd ask.
interesting question you posted there. I've left one cpm ad company and they had $38 for me, i didn't bother emailing them to ask for a cheque, their minimum payout was also $100 but in two months or so i receive a cheque from them. I was very surprised.
That is hard to believe, but I guess it is worth a shot. Or try emailing them and tell them you are not satisfied with the quality of their programs, and that you are leaving, maybe they will do something nice for you.
That's really nice that was done as a courtesy... Which network if you don't mind me asking? I have a few accounts with balances not yet at the minimum & wish sometimes that I could see this kind of service more often! Take care.
It happened to me in cpa empire, but I never received my payment , so I did not bother emailing them or anything.
Minimum payouts are not established to rob publishers of their earnings, they are rather established to make accounting feasible and to cut costs associated with distributing payments. US postage for international first class mail is $0.90, and PayPal mass payment fees are $1. If we send out payments at simply $10, than approximately 10% of revenue is lost only towards postage and payment fees. If we pay our publishers 60% revenue share, pay our sales team on commission, and have an additional 10% cost for distribution of payments, the remaining amount makes it difficult to cover the overhead of running the business. Lower operational expenses for the network directly transform into benefits for the publisher. Both in terms of higher revenue share opportunities, and the stability of the network. With all that said, exceptions are and will always be made. If you are leaving an advertising network and shoot them an email, 99% of the time they will issue you a check below minimum payout.
"99% of the time they will issue you a check below minimum payout." that's a bold statement-- 99% wow -- do you have anything to back that up? I am sure people would pay the fees themselves as opposed to getting nothing.
The statement I made was an exaggeration and was not meant to be interpreted as a researched statistic. I was only implying that most networks would issue you a payment because they have no intention of stealing money from their own publishers. For Canep Media, less than 2.2% of all publisher earnings have not been paid out because they are distributed amongst publishers who have not yet reached the payment threshold. The amount is really insignificant to the network, and it is a lot easier for them to pay the sum out than deal with bad press associated with an angry publishers complaining on forums.
I once been paid when I reached 20$ even that minimum payout was 50$. Otherwise I haven't had problem with any program so far.
I would wonder if they might not be able to keep that money. Depending on how they report their taxes, it might be in their best interest to send out the check rather than have unanswered funds sitting around. Just my 2 cents.
I'm with a few affiliates and I get money into my paypal account when I least expect it... $22 on 1 and $15 on the other.. in just 3 weeks :>) So they are worth it! Best to join a few and I've also made my site more profitable this way, along with the other services I provide :>)
Not quite the same but I stopped using goclick years ago and out of the blue about three years later, I received a cheque from them. I was very confused but it seems search and replace missed one page and it was still showing the ads
This happened few years back with an affiliate program I joined but after months I still did not make it to the minimum withdraw. So I emailed them saying that looks like I will never be able to earn more to achieve min payout, and to my delight, they paid me what I have earned.
