Just wondering how you guys manage all your sites? Like all your email accounts, memberships to forums for marketing those sites, actively adding new posts/content. I feel like i am getting pretty unorganized, is there any free software/planner you use for this?
I'm pretty "old school", I guess. On my laptop I keep a password-protected master list of all accounts, passwords, etc. I keep a copy of it in my safe deposit box.
Can you recommend a premade template for excel that would work well? I have little experience with excel
it's all in my head with a few word documents thrown in... list work well also and less of a security risk as well.
I have been using KeePass to keep track of all my usernames and passwords for a couple years. I highly recommend it and it is free.
i do two things: 1. i keep all of my passwords, screen names, etc. on a word document and save it under a name that no one will recognize 2. as a backup i write all of my passwords and what not onto a notebook just in case of a computer failure, (its not something you want to happen, but i rather be prepared lol)
i use a password software called roboform to organize all my passwords and to never forget the passwords
Haha i am old fashioned, i have a large a3 pad of paper on my desk and i write a lot of it down, then the important stuff put in notepad or word docs and excel. Will.
i have some excel and notepad files contain my password and some useful info. In past, i lost my files due to hardware failure but now i m very careful and have some backup copies.
I have few of usernames/passwords combinations, which I have used according to the priority of the application. I have memorised them all, I never use a 3rd party application. And I never set web browser to remember user accounts, unless it's a low priority site. Btw it seems like most people use insecure methods to store sensitive data But anyway I highly recommend writing down all your user accounts information on your will. So that, incase you die, you could avoid your web hoster or anyother service providers taking over your properties
Everything is there in my head. The things I can sometimes forget usually are registered with my e mail and my email password is well embedded in my memory. Lol.
