It will not be for the near future, but nations are smart, they are slowly moving from the USD as reserve currency. Such reserve currency status allows the economy to have massive deficit at zero interest rates, but such status are slowly changing. You can change immediately because of the economical impact, but the change is significant.

It isn't that bad, compare the indicators to the Great Depression this is just a blip, no worries, we can weather through it.

The conspiracy theorist say that this is being done on purpose to introduce the "amero". I am hesitant to say that is BS anymore because in order to achieve that they would have to drive the US economy into the ground so hard that the people could do nothing but be appreciative of any "solution". Behold the Illuminati.

Oh yeah, I agree that silver is a better investment since its practical value will continue to increase due to its use in circuitry and electronics.

That's a wise choice, given the shortage of supply and disruption in the rice producing countries, it will sure go up.

Yes, speculate in these kinds of things so the prices can go up even further. I bet starving children in Asia and Africa would be proud you're protecting your savings.

Baisically it isn't the small investors tha can make an impact on hedging of such commodity but the institutional players. Small players cant even cause a blip on the supplies.
