I'd love to know the reasoning behind it. Have you tried to talk to an adwords rep about it?

    The reasoning behind it?

Well, the product advocates using water instead of gas for Gods sake. What possibly more would Google need to ban this???

While those poor people who bought the book will save some gas, this method will destroy their car's engines pretty soon.
Yes, it works, what they say on the site is true, they just "forgot" to say your car is going to be shortlived after this.

    My random assumption:

I spoke to Fal a few times by phone - and he was actually almost in litigation w/w4g... then I saw SatSoft release drivewater (word for word dupe of fal's-horrible!), then wamabam, then another - now there is like 8 of them, and they all -including affs -use water4gas as their main key... ..

So, as the owner of the copyright - I wouldn't be surprized if google got a legal notice from W4G - and thus W4G knew they would wipe most of their competition this way, and reclaim their revenue. Google seems to be lax about keys until the owners of the copyright complain.

I could be wrong, but this makes most sense - google wouldn't ban them because of the business model or name or that it ruins peoples cars in the long run...

Actually it does not advocate using water instead of gas - it breaks down water into hydrogen, which is a gas, before it even enters the engine. Carbon fuels also do damage if not properly lubricated. The system has been verified on several news shows, including 60 minutes, and local fox news.

That sounds plausible, but there are several keywords being blocked that have nothing to do with their copyrighted name.

Not to mention that you can't copyright a name to begin with, though you can trademark one. But even with trademarks, google won't stop you from bidding on them, they only prevent you from putting them in your ad.

Oops - yes - trademark is what I meant - and yes, you CAN get google to stop letting others use it. However now that i've gone to google, YES that whole product line got slapped - no ads for ANY of them even if you do other search phrases.

However - Yahoo is full force (i would imagine they will get a big bump in ad dollars now). MSN is down for me (anyone else? Haven't been able to check HotMail for 2 days now), they are probably still live too though, along with all the 2nd/3rd level SE's.

0 sales from that product for me today.. damn

I dont think its a trademark thing because you also cant use "run car on water", "run car with water".
(also, wambam was actually out before water4gas)

SEO will be very hard for this search term now and yeah, yahoo prices with jump a lot!

It didnt really hit me until last night... i though.. "holy crap, I got a $70,000 pay decrease today!"

Natural search and refunds are under 5% ... be interesting to see how this helps for us who depend on natural search. Noticed a slight increase since the beginning of the month but i think this is due to latest PR update.

Google "water4gas" What do you see? NOTHING!!!!! It has been removed due to trademark terms! Just a guess, but a good one if you ask me. Not sure why other none trademark terms have been blocked too? This sucks :(

I'm not sure if they're just slow taking them all down, but I'm still seeing a lot of ads for "run water car".

    Hey,

same problem here. I can't see any ads for a lot of keywords. I live in Italy.
    My question is:
Do you think they will stop other keywords?
I'm a noob, I'm only promoting water4gas and I'm still crying from yesterday..:-[
Again: do you think there are some political motivations to explain this?

    G`day,

noone has mentioned the obvious  ... it is DIRECT competition
to the oil companies ... you don`t think those arseholes would pull a few
"e-strings" at Google ... grease a few "e-palms" with a million or three to
    shut the whole show down.

They hold the world to ransom with their BS inflated (HIGHLY) price for
fuel/gas and stomp on anyone or anything that has a chance at shattering
    their ridiculously humungous profit margins.

    Get a horse ... :D

    Yeah,

I think ViralVideoMarket is saying well, that's what I meant with

Yeah, it's a little bit more technical than pouring water in your tank !
