I tried to log into Google Adsense today and was met with this page:

So Google now think I'm a virus? Not even ex-girlfriends think I'm a virus!

How long does this last? I logged in yesterday and it was fine.

Clear your browser cache and try again. Sometimes Google ads CAPTCHA to get around this issue.

Lately Google has been very aggressive blocking many requests from one IP address. While it may block bots, it is also blocking legitimate activity as well.

I had the same problem. I cleared the cookies as they suggested and I still can't get in. Maybe if other people are experiencing the problem, it's not me.

Do you have a static IP? If not, then change your IP and hopefully your problem will be solved.

Also, try other browser. If you use FF, then try IE.

I have a static IP and have done for about 6 months now.

I've had this account for about a year now and have never had this problem, even when I was logging in mutiple times a day to check the stats.

I'm using IE7 and I'm reluctant to download Firefox just to use it for one web site (I don't use FF as I don't like how it uses so much memory to run).

Surely if I'm using the same IP address to log in successfully with they will know I'm not a virus?

No different from a static using FF I get the same message and my account is around 4 years old first time I ever saw that message. The captcha blows as its hard to make the letters and numbers. Must have been why they went offline for a few minutes today.

This error comes when you are creating too many requests to Google.

Usually through screen scraping or too many invalid logins.

    Peace,

Hahah, just like Microsoft thought I was using a Macintosh when trying to get updates for windows xp. Made me laugh, but seriously, they wouldn't let my legal windows XP copy get updates for over a week!

Why don't you try to contact them by letting know your problem. Google has over 19 000 employees, they should probably answer.

I got this a couple of times today, too.
The capchas ARE hard to read, but they are usable.

I went to a site the other day (can't remember which), and the capchas were ABSOLUTELY unreadable. I laughed my butt off, trying them over and over again. It was really funny. "Here is some gibberish - just TRY to figure it out." I think I got through on about the seventh one.

What is the point of totally unreadable capchas? I guess it provides a laughfest for the owner, when he looks at the "number of attempts". I laughed too. Of course, many others would just walk, muttering under their breath.

This happens on multiple search terms, and typically has nothing to do with a virus on your machine.
If you search for something that may be considered something almost related to spam, and click on page X of the results, you will get this.
Kind of annoying for me, since i was in the middle of doing some data mining, and get it on page 2-3 (100 listings per page) for many search terms which i was doing research on. I ended up using alternative search engines so i wouldn't get banned by google.
