my site is not even getting 100 visitors per day, but yesterday i saw a blog whose content is similar to my site and has the same pagerank but has got atleast 1000 visitors per day!!!! why isn't my site getting that?????
There are LOADS of factors that will come in to play here, however one that jumps out to me is the ranking of their website firstly, there site may have been up and running for several years and be far better ranked in terms of search engine ranking compared to yours. Also the links to their website may be of better value and be bringing more traffic than yours, he/she may advertise their site a lot more than you do, there site may have viral traffic, seo traffic, direct traffic because of a better domain name, referring traffic as i said better links. There is so much that could be the reason.
Try to improve your search results ranking. Build lots of backlinks. The best source of traffic is the search engines. So try to improve your search results ranking.
Because his site and your site and the incoming links are NOT the same. And don't get so caught up in what you think... it's always about what other people think. Otherwise you would only need 1 visitors per day - YOU! So figure out why other people like that site better and how they are finding it.
Maybe his blog is well promoted. Try to promote and get more backlinks for your blog. Use also social bookmarkings to get traffic.
The problem is your blog promotion.. and the answer is SEO! to gain more traffic to your site, you need some SEO stuffs.. Get links from other related sites.. and update your blog with quality content.. to gain high ranking to search engine..
