I am looking into people who have had their business damaged by Paypal.

Here's my paypal horror story: Apirl 27 account Lock or limits is what they call it ...
Limits means I can do nothing on my paypal account cannot
    accept payment or give payments.

My business is based on paying people for blog reviews and receiving payment from advertiser to get blog reviews.

Paypal does not even care to speak with you about anything .
I call and those people say we have nothing to do with that part of account being in limits ...

So guess what more dispute keep popping up everyday ..

I email Paypal are you guy stupid ? (Understand after 5 phones call to them and 15 emails wthout help I am loosing my cool ) The dispute I tell Paypal are because you locked my account and cannot pay these people..

OH! my whole business is dead and my site is down because the host was paid by paypal. The last dispute said he heard we had many complains and we were out of business !!!Many many keyword ranked number one in google are getting destroyed too...

Lawsuit against paypal for damages ??? I got one piece of info from paypal that all this was because someone purchased with a fraud credit card ?
    What that's our fault ?

So tell me anyone felt the paypal pain ?

You can only have one a account under SS number ....

How do you do multi-accounts ?

One premier and one business account is all they allow ...

But the point of the post is how they act is worthy of a lawsuit ...

PayPal is quite big and it is very difficult to do anything about it.
If you change your bank account - you'll be a new person for PP.

If you try and get a lawsuit against paypal, most likely you will lose. It's a huge company and many have tried before you. If you do win, you will prolly spend more money on legal fees then you will get back from paypal. But it's your call in the end, just it'll be tough.

Why are you using paypal? They have been sticking it to people from day one. eBay are the owners. Go to paypalsucks.com

I looked at paypal sucks when I had a chargeback issue, thinking I might find some advice. After reading it, I ended up sympathising with paypal - the forum's full of people saying "Oh My God paypal closed my account just because I gave them a false name and didn't give refunds to people I hadn't sent stuff to and that's the sixth time I've had an account closed can someone sell me a USA account I'm in Outer Mongolia and we can't get paypal here"

Not saying the OP is like this - that's what paypal sucks is like.

Your fault for getting your account locked. Do nothing wrong and it wont happen.

It's really hard doing business with paypal, they have to be really tough and cover their a** because of all of the scammers out there. Still, there are things I definitely don't understand, like what happened with you - limit your account because someone bought something from you with a stolen cc? That is ridiculous!

I've had the same happen to me.

The ole DP classic where they buy your domain, then dispute the $3k or whatever and claim they never heard of you although all their personal, and home e-mail matches. As well, you have detailed conversations of the conversation.

To get your account unlocked, you simply have to plead your case. If you spent the cash, you have to repay it. As for domains, you have a 14 day hold where you can stop a transaction.

The best course of action, per Paypal, is to get things in writing. Especially if it's a digital product, such as website, content, or domain. You have to prove they agreed to buy it.

Sure if slows down the sales process, but if they are legit, then what's a couple of more days to make sure you are not burned?

they have very hard policies , if you already fax the required docs they still need a hell outta time to get the account limit lift , but all this are for scammers that spread all around . Just keep patience or use MB.

Yeah paypal sucks. That happen to me in Janauary. Had a few people on DP calling me a scammer of $1 payments lol. I sent out like 40 1 dollar payments and they got suspicious so they limited my account. The held the money so everyone thought I claimed. But 2 weeks later I got it all cleared up :-D

Your bank cannot help you out? Transactions might be slower but your business should be up and running

I worked in tech support for a competing credit card processor for a while and heard all of the horror stories. So many small businesses start out with PayPal only to learn that they don't have the same rights as they do with other companies. I know you aren't alone in your troubles, so many people thanked us for being easier to work with than PayPal. The sad truth of the mater is that the merchant bears a lot of responsibility in accepting credit cards. Charge Backs are difficult to win without a signature or shipping to the billing address, and if the credit card processor wants to hold money they can for up to 180 days as long as they don't collect interest on it.

Like someone mentioned earlier, just make a new PayPal account if you still want to deal with them. If not do a google search for low cost card processors and if you do your homework I'm sure you'll find a reputable one. I think for a law suit, your best bet will be to find someone doing a class action suit and try to get involved in that.

What such another horror story of pp which could makes me twice before start using pp, it seems like ecurrency like egold and LR still have better condition for merchant. About MB is it really better than pp ? in what ways cause looks like almost the same with pp needs complicated verification process and the headquarter office is doubtful at some London dropshipping address ?

I disagree. The person has a paypal account already and has been locked out of it and it still most probably has earnings in it. It seems you are saying that this person should just set up another pp account and forget about the old one, which really will make it look as if there were some dodgy stuff going on if left.

I had a problem in the past with my telephone provider and couldn't go on the internet which was damaging my business. Personally they don't care, you are just another statistic to them. If the business was much smaller then that would be a different story, but because they are so big then they are not so worried although they say they will do this and that and they are sorry for all of the trouble you have had, it's just their job and they have to be like that.

It took around 4 months for me to get my phone done properly, had to have over 6 engineers out, 3 engineers charged me, I was accused that it was my equipment at vault, etc. The outcome was that the vault was on the main line around 1 mile from my premises and still it took me nearly one month of continuous calls to get them engineer charges deducted from my account. I had lost a lot of business due to that problem and it cost a good bit but they didn't care, if they did then it wouldn't have taken them so long to fix it. To them, I was just another customer of many.

    Good luck anyway.

I Use paypal a lot but I personally don't like it either, it's like the people working there suffer from retardation or something, I've been trying to get my old account removed, and they still haven't done it. It's been hacked, they want me to enter credit card information to verify, no way I'm gonna enter CC info if its been hacked. I made a new account though. Other then that haven't had any major troubles yet. But just an annoyance, I've had that account since I think 2006, I've asked them to remove since early 2007, but nothing.

None of this sounds good. :( I have a Paypal account and so far nothing bad has happened, but maybe it's just a matter of time. I'll look around for an alternative...just in case.
