How do i optimize my blog to get loads of traffic from SEs?

Well I have a blog at www.livesharemarkets.com which is now 7 months old.And I try to update it almost on a daily basis and also did some on page optimization using some WP plugins and tried my level best. And recently after the Google page rank update my blog was assigned a PR 2.

But after all these hard work, i hardly get around 30-40 visitors from google and yahoo search engines. May I know whats wrong with my blog and what should I be doing to solve this issue. And how much time will it take to get good traffic from search engines.

You may need to change the keywords your trying to rank highly for as they may not be very popular i have had this problem before, you need to find some highly searched keywords which relate to your website and create content with these keywords included this over time will increase your search engine rank. But there is a lot more to it than that, you can read some tutorials here which should help you out

Does your keyword competitive and has a tons of traffic a month? If no, then your optimization effort is useless since the keywords of your choice will surely cause no traffic,.

If yes you can do proper combination of on and off-page optimization,.
When doing a link building, use only your target keywords as an anchor as S.E added more weight on the text enclose on this tag

 

Add keywords in your post title and content with variation, add fresh content and take advantage of social sites and do tagging.

 

well i have slowly started to target a very highly competitive keyword which has really tons of search per day..some of my competitors are getting roughly 2000 hits per day,as compared to them I am really no where..and i m also creating content targeting the keyword..any good ebook or suggestions??

 

it has surely lots of traffic no doubt,,for long keywords my blog appears on front page not for small keywords..i have done all onpage optimization..used all in one seo and all those stuff properly.....stilll....

 

First off get rid of those huge adsense ads. No one is going to take your seriously and make a return visit to a site that has ads bigger than the content they are offering.

first of all I don't quite understand why you've got string with keywords on the top. this is wrong.

Then. type in google stock market and see.
first site: PR7, about 100K pages indexed 139K backlinks in yahoo. 0.5M pages indexed in Yahoo
your site: PR2, 124 pages indexed, 1.5K backlinks....
Compare these figures and thinks what should you do to be on the top with this key

 

ok i'll consider this suggestion for sure....is my ad placement still wrong..actually i m not much bothered abt adsense now..only traffic..coz i know this is a high paying keyword...i can earn anytime if i have traffic..

 

Your adsense looks the same as before, it takes up more space in each post than the content -- no one is going to stay on a site like that and for sure they are never to return.

 

Watch out when your targeting the high searched keywords although they would be great if you were to get on to the front page it may take months or even years to reach it though.

Do not block out long tail keywords these are great if not better than high searched key words, little to less competition in comparison to the high traffic small keyword and sometimes as many searches.

 

I would using forums, communities and article submission for it

 

Use simple tags, and tag your pages properly, but don't overdo it. With good enough realistic strategies, I'm sure you'll pop up in the top in no time. Its really difficult to post how as it will take me a day lol. Anyway, you can pm me if you do need more info.
