If i post an articels on a blog with PR 0 and put in a link to my main site..does the link have 0 value ??
All pages have some PR even if it shows up as 0 in the toolbar. The link will have little value but it shouldn't have 0 value.
As LogicFlux said, the numbers you see in the PageRank toolbars are just indications. Every link has value, and that value can be split up between multiple pages on the same site as well as other sites.
of course not, since you are the one who insert his link on your page that site has a better pr compare to your site. Although it shows that pr0, search engine still updating their database for you pr that will shows once they've done updating.
from the page where you are getting links will give you the benifit. If homepage URL of any website is 7 and you link on 0 PR page, than you won't get anything from PR 7.
not sure i understand If homepage URL of any website is 7 and you link on 0 PR page, than you won't get anything from PR 7.
If you're speaking in terms of sheer PR it has little value but not 0. If you're speaking in terms of SEO - every backlink (provided that it comes from indexed page) is worth something.
I agree, I don't mind getting a PR0 backlink if I see a potential of the page getting higher PR in future.
great thanks.... in terms off seo let say you have a PR 8 site link how many PR 0 site links does that equal.. mening how many links from PR0 sites do I need to have to get the same value as a link from a PR8 site..
If we had such knowledge Google's PageRank would become totaly useless (there are people that think it's useless even now ). Google will never give out such an information, and without extensive research and solid scientific knowledge recreation of Google's PR algo is not possible. Remember also not to let yourself seduced by charm of PR. It should not be your main goal building/promoting a website. Think about proper structure of code, on-page optimisation, user accessibility and site usability, informative interesting content (or popular product/s or to-be popular product), off-page optimisation (backlinks, backlinks, backlinks) then think of PR. PR is only a synthetic value and its influence on SERP position is thought to be of rather minor (or inferior to many other factors) value. When I didn't even thought I ever will be bond with SEO I NEVER looked at PageRank value of any site I visited. So don't be fooled by your current occupation/hobby as SE optimiser and think that probably 90% of internet users don't even now what PR is. Best Regards, PS
Any link is a good link, but getting links from high PR sites will eventually give your site a good PR, but don't just go for the high PR sites - it all adds up.
more the backlinks the better it is. even PR0 links carry some weight anyway links from blog posts perform better than just links IMO
great advise thanx to all... Now another thing. I have 5 subdomains with 5 blogs on. hello.site.com your.site.com ggg.site.com uuu.site.com[/url] wwe.site.com All five links to my other site www.othersite.com Will Google view them as five diffent link fra fice diffent sites or links from one site since they are on the same IP range.. hope you understand
many of you guys have forgot ... whether the link is a no follow or do follow .. if it's a no follow then it doesn't have any pr value ...
