Well what is very odd from what i can see is: #1. Why do YOU have to change the whois information? Surely after the domain is pushed his own whois would superceed it, however, if this is not the case, then simply he wants to remain protected, clever! #2. Why in gods green earth would YOU change the DNS information in relation to the name servers. That is the responsibilty of the new owner, i have never heard of a case where NS information is set to a new server prior to a domain push. Very strange! And finally, have you tried ringing the number he gave on the email, pmsl what an idiot sending from a gmail, would have been half believable if he sent spoofing the owners actual email account, oh well. Least you never lost your domain
While not exactly not to use the trademark in any domain name, there are lots of administrative and legal decisions transferring the domain name to the mark holder because they were found to infringe their marks. As long as one is able to demonstrate trademark rights to the word or so, they can tell a registrant either to not put anything on the domain name associated with their mark or to transfer it to them. It so happens many of them demand the latter option. Up to you if you're okay with ignoring them and possibly facing penalties, especially if you're within their reach. Korrupt may not have to do anything. But UpsideOut can take the next course of action to pry that domain name off anyway. Again, it may cost money. But for some, it's the principle.
A trademark holder doesn't even need to notify you before they sue you and they are under no obligation to send a letter. You don't always get a warning, nor the ability just to give the domain up and walk away from legal action. If someone doubts the authenticity of the email, they could make a phone call or email the company directly.
i received a neg rep for witht the comment: Note to who said(most probably only that jerk justin- over 90% of the people you know hope that you die a brutal death, don't think that you are the best, coz you are not, you are just a jerk who wouldnt even give me his lawyer's contact details because he is a scaredy cat
lol...nah i didn't i just deleted the damn domain name, i'd prefer deleting it than giving it for free to some sucker
I see. Good thing you weren't dealing with some merciless trademark holder, as others could've done worse.
he sure was merciless, and didn;t knoe about trademarks, i told him that i would use this site for a orkut software site but that gay didn't agree, he i wasn't too aware with trademarks at that time so I just deleted the damn domains. and yea my father doesn't know anything about this
