Well, right now today all my traffic is 100% SE traffic. This is ok, but I want more. What can I do to get some more traffic to my ecommerce site? Ive done everything from directories, social bookmarks, and of course SEO. I am just not seeing the traffic I want. I am on the first page for a couple great keywords, but I am still not getting the traffic im looking for. Any suggestions?

Have you tried article marketing? This usually works by getting your article in front of potential buyers in your market and has the added bonus of building up links to your site in the process.

100% search engines? Is your website something that doesn't get people to come back frequently?

We are the same although we are a relative new site. we get the majority of our traffic via the search engines and a little from google & Yahoo adword campaigns. I must say that for what we are spending on adwords versus what we get in actual traffic, we tend to think that adwords are not the most efficient way to spend our money. We too are looking to increase our traffic but are at a loss at this early stage. i guess we have a heap to learn yet.

Yes, we gave up on adwords a long time ago. That is a big waste of money. As per article marketing..yes, we have done this. THough we dont have a huge article marketing campaign, we do have a few quality articles out there that have gave us some good backlinks but not much traffic.

    Market research.

Sadly many companies think SEO is going to make them successful when in fact it usually works for some sites but not most e-commerce based sites....

I mean when was the last time someone places a new Lexus IS in a shopping cart and whipped out the credit card to pay the $60.000.00 price????

However using what has worked for centuries should help you....

    I call it
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .

    Paid Advertising

    ;)

On a side note ......Most webmasters fail at adwords campaigns typically because they are not a marketing professional.......apparently you sell car parts......nothing says you can write ads or find the target market....

    :)

You can try using Adbrite. Choose Full Page ads and max bid to .001 That should give you traffic. Start with a $5.00 a day budget. Make sure to continue testing your ads.

Hope this helps. Just my 2 cents, but it works for me

There are a bunch......not sure how that matters...I sell digital ebooks using Adwords...and among plenty of competitors, but I still make sales and nice profits....

There will always be competition... It does not matter what niche one uses there will always be competitors.

McDonalds BurgerKing Wendys and KFC all fight for customers in one shopping center near me....none of them stopped advertising because of the existence of the others.

The way to win however is to hire someone who is a professional marketer......:)

Otherwise you can call it GoogleCasino and like most webmasters, lose money playing "Their" game.
