Ohhhh....we have a Fighter here Would love to see a full episode on Herbert and Stewie The thread will be 1 year old in few weeks time...Phew... Carry on guys/gals
lol go for it if you like, but kilts do cost quite a lot of money (for decent ones). Theres a stearing wheel in your glasses...
Cause it's wool.. It has to be , to be warm enough to keep the gonads from freezing in the cold Scottish breeze.
Cause of the way it's made, the amount of material used, etc. Plus there arn't that many kiltmakers about, it's a speciallist product. Then theres the accessories: sporran, tabs, socks, shoes, shirt, coat (if you want to look smarter), belt, kilt pin, skien dhu (but I don't know what people are like with you walking around with a blade in your sock...y'know, legal issues). Everything counts up. I spent (well my parents mostly) over £500 ($1000) on that kilt and everything i'm wearing there. My new one was more expensive though (it's better quality). They are actually pretty damn warm down there, your glad to get a breeze sometimes.
^ and here I was thinking that youd go to a store and pick one up and I like the first one from the left and do you have one of these?
$1000? I'd rather get a new tv. don't they have discount kilt stores? and how can there not be kiltmakers aplenty? that'd be like japan having no math wizards, or germany not having nazis, or brazil not having fully waxed hot chicks.
I was not driving @ the time. $1K for a Kilt I don't think my entire wardrobe is that much....and boy it shows
I would prefer a lead based chinese kilt...maybe then my cell phone wouldn't shoot harmful phone rays into my junk.
You don't get professional kilt makers that much in comparison to other things, You can get cheaper ones, either because they are 2nd hand or because someone paid for them to be made but then didn't want it (no idea why people would do that, but it's how I got the kilt in that pic for £150, it's medium quality too). You can get really thin, very poor quality mass made ones for £5 in the right places. But it shows, and a light wind will blow it away easily. lol I wouldn't be surprised Don't you have suit(s)? The kilt itself wasn't that much, only £150 ($300), and it was made by a pro. I also got 3/4 years out of it before it started hurting when I wore it cause it was getting too small. When I went back to the kilt shop the woman was like "bloody hell, when was the last time you wore this?", it was a month before...and it hurt, but I had to, it was a wedding. Come to think of it, that woman in the shop wasn't that nice about it...making out i've gotten fat or something
There is all kinds of stuff, like now cell phones can cause brain damage because of the constant use by the ear and all that weirdo stuff, it is true but... how much does it actually affect you?
