Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere (i did search) It's day 2 of my proxy hosting career and although I've only had about 10 visitors... one of them has an interesting user Agent. "Morfeus F**king Scanner" I may be a Noob but... this guy was not interested in FaceBook and clicking on my adds was he/she! What are the implications for hackers etc... using our proxy sites for illegal activities and how can we protect ourselves from liabiltiy? Maybe someone could point me towards an article or disclaimer example? Thanx in advance
A quick google tells me that's it's either some sort of Vulnerability scanner or a bot. (sounds like a nasty hacking tool anyhow) I'm not sure if it was an attack on my site or somebody else's but it has me concerned Edit: I think I might ask the server admin to take a look at my logs.
Hello guys, i just wanna ask those who own a free proxytemplate site.. how do you make the demo page not useable? like you can't use the url bar it just goes back yo main page..?
I don't know tomorrow's lotto numbers. lol I believe this is where the "hard work" part comes into it. Way back on page 1 of this thread there are some suggestions. Edit: Sorry to sound like a smart ass, I've got a terrible sense of humor
Add your site to proxy org. Will give 10-25 per day. Submit it to dozens of yahoo/google groups out there. Search this forum to find a list of free groups. Lots of work ahead mate
Should just mean changing the submit link on the main page. Are you using glype? if you are, In the gylpe/themes/your template/main.php I would change : '<form action="includes/process.php?action=update" method="post">' To : '<form action="/" method="post">' (These tags are located just above the submit button) This just posts the text back to the index page which does nothing but clear the input box. (make sure you remove the links from any MySpace - FaceBook etc buttons as well.) With glype i'd also remove the "includes/process.php" as well just to be sure. I tested this with glype and it worked. It would be similar for other scripts as well I think.
zelune to make a joke too , i never used phproxy because is too old , glype is better but will cost you more, ( cpu usage ) i think is higher
Welcome to the world of web proxies... having the police come to talk to you because someone used your proxy for somthing shadey is very possible. It happend to another member not long ago if I remember.
You can also submit to MWolk Anonymous web Proxies list. The site gets good traffic and has decent number of RSS subscribers by mail and feed.
