I'm still in shock over KLC's elimination...

she was predicted "SAFE" by Dial Idol.

 

What did you guys think about tonight's show? I wasn't expecting much, but I thought it was excellent, especially David Cook. Unfortunately, my personal favorite Jason Castro bombed. Hopefully, it won't spell the end for him. I think Brooke will be voted off. Thoughts?

 

We rank 'em in this order (our cat doesn't vote -- LOL):

1. David Cook
2. David Archuleta
3. Carly Smithson
4. Syesha Mercado
5. Jason Castro
6. Brooke White

Brooke is MOST LIKELY to be kicked off tonite, although I'm STILL secretly wishing for Carly's exit.

Yeah, that's too bad. She probably didn't deserve to leave this early, but it's getting hard to see anyone leave. At least for me. I like them all.

But I am glad I will get to hear Jason Castro singing Neil Diamond. That's the main thing.

 

Brooke didn't even make the BOTTOM TWO........after that Worst-Worthy craptacular false start!!!

Surprisingly, Syeesha was the other lowest vote getter.

Thanks to VOTE FOR THE WORST and Howard Stern for moblizing the troops and getting the Fugly Garden Implement off the show!!! (looks like my prayer to the Pope was answered.....a week late!)

 

Final Five:

1) Syeesha Mercado --- in my opinion, was the best tonite (she did a good job with crappy songs)

2) David Cook --- again, he got some obscure Neil Diamond songs and made them click with the audience

3) the ARCHULATOR --- ruined "Sweet Caroline" but gave us goosebumps on "Coming To America"

4) Brooke "Basket Case" White --- was craptastic on "I'm A Believer" but redeemed herself on "I Am I said"

5) Jason (Stoner Dude) Castro:

he also got the crappiest songs, but why they didn't give him the best Neil Diamond song ever: RED RED WINE

I mean, he's got the dreads and he already did a great job with the reggae-style version of Iz's "Over The Rainbow".........he could have done the UB-40 arrangement!

he will be gone tomorrow.......VERY surprised that Red Red Wine was not sung by Jason.......

 

My favorites are David Cook, David Archuleta and Michael Johns. It's so disappointing that Michael was already voted out off the competition. But ultimately, I think David Cook's gonna win because he can sing different songs from different people and still turn those songs into his own. He' really good. Have you heard his rendition of Always be my baby?

 

Hmmm, tonight was not so great. I expected much, much better from rock and roll night. In fact, I think this was the worst night in a long time. Maybe they're just so tired from the frenetic pace.

 

I agree with you, his version of Mariah's song is really great...

i think the 2 David's will be on top 3!!!

 

I like one of the girls far more than the other contestants I'm kind of disappointed with the contestants this year to be honest. It feels like there are only a handful of great singers and a lot more of them are talented entertainers or just look the part instead of being true, talented musicians. I guess it is American 'Idol' though

 

I really love American Idol. I love the two david especially David Cook. He sang all his songs well especially the music of the night and always be my baby. My other Favorite is Micheal Johns but unfortunately he got cut.im really excited to find out who the top 3 will be and also see their performance.

 

I'm SHOCKED that Jason Castro was eliminated..............

shocking news from Associated Press:

Archuletor's STAGE DAD FROM HELL has been BANNED from American Idol premises. He is no longer allowed to badger the contestants, the judges, the band & Ricky Minor, and the producers.

Apparently, the "final straw" came when Stage Dad From Hell insisted on their using lyrics from "Beautiful Girls" by Sean Kingston in David's performance of "Stand By Me"......the producers had to pay THOUSANDS of dollars to Sean Kingston in "clearance fees", which means they ended up paying DOUBLE ROYALTIES for the song because they had ALREADY paid up the nose for the Sam Cooke version.

 

So, who's going to win? Any guesses? I started out really like David Archuleta, but is anyone really that nice? I have to wonder. I also think that David Cook has amazing abilities all around...

 

The Archuletor will win the whole enchilada.........now that VOTE FOR THE WORST has picked him as their "Worst" of the final 3.

 

I think Adult David might pull it off, although Toddler David fits the AI mold better, and I wouldn't mind a bit if he won. David C. will do just fine.

Syesha disappoints me. She had one chance to pick whatever song she wanted tonight, and she picks "Fever." C'mon.

Last night's results show featured what might be my favorite AI moment ever...Fantasia's performance. Well...ok...not her performance itself, but the look on Simon's face when they showed him during her song! Hilarious! It's the same look I had on my face the entire time she was singing!
