Some of my sites that have lost all their backlinks have been dropping out of the google index. 10% of the content on these sites is duplicate. Why are they being removed from the index?
Of course if you lose part, not to mention all of backlinks your site will definitely start to drop in rankings. If it drops far enough it will be deindexed for sure, nothing special about it. Think of SERP's in organic search criteria: if people that linked to your site removed link for it is probably because they don't think that your site is worth something. Having that in mind Google deindexes your site.
Backlinks are the most important factor for a site to get listed over search engines..if you lost it obviously your rankings will also go down..
Back Links Are The Key Posints Of Ranking So Decrease In The Backlinks Obviously Decrease In Your Ranking Or Some Times It Will Be Constant.
I am thinking this is the correct answer. I am not talking about rank position. I am talking abour being indexed or not. After all even blog posts get indexed without backlinks right?
Losing all the backlinks only means your PR will drop to zero. Only when you are banned by Google will make your site deindexed from Google search engine.
are you check to see if the entire site has deindexed or certain pages. The 10% pages that are duplicates will definitely de index especially when you lose your backlinks. Other than that if you lost your links very quickly that too can lead to the site being deindexed. If 100% of your links are gone then your site can get deindexed reason being that no one finds your site important enough to link to why would google want to keep it on the map if the site is worthless
If your site lost back links. Then your site can drop in the search results + you will see a decrease in the indexed pages.
I think so.. if it really loses all backlinks, then eventually google will remove it. I had a domain, sexyfuncards.com with no links pointing to it for about 4 months until it finally lost its place it google
Yeah, I wasn't enough precise about that. I meant that you'll drop so low that your site will not appear within search results. So maybe it'll be crawled (very rarely) and indexed but not shown in SERP's.
I guess doesn't matter if you have backlinks or not a site:domain query should give a response if your site is indexed. no?
If google has removed your backlinks it doesn't mean your site has been banned. Google has done this with lots of other sites who has done heavy irrelevant backlinks. You can check with google by putting site:yourdomain.com. If it doesn't show any thing it means your site is banned which is not likely. Cheers
