    Hello,

What is the ideal filename for press release & press Report. We had always followed pressrelease-ddmmyy.htm but now we want to change the pattern. After reading lot of articles about file naming, still I couldn't find any resources which says the ideal way to filename the press release & press report.

Looking forward for your experts views.....

    hi sherrick,

Can you please explain it with example. I am thinking of filename as date-kw1-kw2-k3.htm. the kw1,2, 3 will be from the title of the press release & press report but at the same time, wont it be too long. Some press release may sound better with three but not all. Then what i am suppose to do.

Please can you give some guidelines while naming any press release & report.

I agree with sherrick, you should highlight the keywords for which the press release can be found easily like for example you are going to publish press release about "outsourcing" you may wish to use "india outsourcing" or "outsourcing in India" as keywords in your filename.

I would suggest using "Title-of-release.htm" pattern, and if title is extremely (above 5 words long) I would use three word "essence" of press release content. For example: title is "Advantages and disadvantages of using toasters", file should be something like "opinions-on-using-toasters.htm" or "toasters-pros-cons.htm".

    Regards,
