General Tips On How To Properly Buy Or Sell A Website

Will anyone please help! I want to buy a site, but since I know nothing about purchasing one - Can somebody please tell me I would know if the website or blog I bought is already mine? Will I be going to some registration process? Or do I need to receive any information, account number or whatever from the seller? PLease share your advice, thanks!

Can't disagree on this. Yet, what can change after the website sale (we are not considering the case when provided stats are fake), that revenues will drop significantly?

 

You should get full access (login and pass) to both domain and hosting of this particular site and change the password afterwards. I can advice to use escrow service if the price of the site is quite significant for your wallet.

I would suggest looking well beyond 4 months of revenues, expenses and profits - look for stability - at least 1- 2 years proven traffic and revenues and profits. Look at monthly trends for year over year trends to see if it is growing or declining or flat. The shorter the history the greater the risk.

 

I would suggest for sellers to have all documentation prepared ahead of time before listing - make sure it is detailed - looks more professional and creates more confidence in buyers. For buyers, I would look at sites with far more history - 4 months of revenues does not create stability. I would look for minimum 1 year old sites with steady growth and or stable traffic and revenues.

I bought a website from a person here 3 days ago. He PM'd me asking for PayPal payment. I paid right away, and never heard from him. I've sent a few PM's with no response. It was only for $30.00 but still, I'd like the site or my money back. How do I resolve this?
