Hi, Recently, I just had a problem, and went to ask a popular forum the question. I also checked in Google to find the answer. Imagine my shock when my question was absolute top of the SERP results - in 6 minutes. No kidding. It wasn't DP though.
That'll be Matt Cutts' Minty Fresh Indexing (TM) http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/minty-fresh-indexing/ Although six minutes is pretty awesome!
Yes, now google is so much fast in indexing fresh content in their websites. Pretty normal because Google loves frequently change sites
yea I know what you mean, digitalpoint is fast, but I know of another forum (non-seo) that gets indexed within 2 minutes. It's crazy, it would be a good way to get some urls into the index I suppose - although they changed the algo I noticed, it seems to index new urls found on a page a few days after as opposed to immediately after finding them.
my forum was indexing threads in less than half hour with PR3 only i dunno what happen then it take more time! i think the more high pagerank you have the faster google index!
I happened to look at the time on my computer. It could have been faster than 6 minutes. By the way, that was the WordPress forum.
I'm having the hardest time getting Google to index my friends website www.cashflow420.com whats the secret?
THis is only my opinion: Content and I don't see any on the link you provided. There's no content at all really. Landing page has absolutely none. THe album page is flash and the only other link goes to eBay. You have a PR1, so it has been indexed.
I have noticed this. Although I have tested this more on my blog than forums but I think it has same effect. Anyways here is how I have seen it work. Anytime there is a big news around the net if you can get a post about that topic on your blog then you will get it indexed in no time usually within 30mins. Like in my case I been doing it in niches related to news and some over my personal blog where I post about blogs that get hacked and within minutes its inside google and indexed. I think your question was something really searched around and there wasnt any specific post or answer for it thus your showed up as google found it most relevant.
but has anyone noticed that after the PR update googlebot is a bit slower in indexing. Not the usual 5 mins indexing its taking about an hour or so.
