http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwKXnUU80fo My girlfriend is in the semi-finals of a contest from an R&B record label (same as Omarion, Marquez Houston, etc.). The label owner asked her to sing "I Will Always Love You" a capella (not an easy task). Even though she had never sung it before, I think she did a great job. What do you guys think though? Thanks! P.S. Promise it's not a rickroll!
Cool...thanks for checking it out. She was really nervous about it because it's not a song really in her range and she only had a day or so to practice.
She did well. A couple rough spots but she has a good voice. And she reminds me more of a white girl instead of colored with how she acts and moves and stuff. Idk how to explain it. (im not racist btw!) I just noticed that she changed keys going into the second chorus
Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement guys. I have urged her quite a bit to do American Idol, and I think this time around she will audition. It's tough though...I think soooo many people try out it's not always about the most talented but who makes the best TV, etc. Luckily, she's got the looks things going on too so that will help!
I hope not...I can't wait to get my K-Fed on! But seriously, thanks everybody for checking it out and saying the nice things. She was pretty self-conscious about this song because she learned it in like a day and it's out of her vocal range. But I still think she did great. Also, if any of you are Youtube members and could leave a comment there for her, she would greatly appreciate it! Thanks all.
