does googles stock rise during PR update?

im no stock expert but i have noticed that google stock GOOG has raised noticeably during the last 4 or so PR updates. you think this is just a coincidence or perhaps something worth looking into?

 

I wouldn't put much thought into it. Most people who own GOOG don't know anything about GOOG's products, they just know it's a search engine.

 

I think updates just come around when earnings do. Google stock moves up and down daily and only moves alot when earnings are good or stock was way down day before.

There is no correlation between google stock rise and its PR release, its recent run up is due to its earnings release.

 

exactly. The only thing the shareholders care about is the profitableness of the company.

lol this is an interesting thought. but there is a breakdown when google announces their latest financial result. anyway there shouldnt be any correlation

When an organization doing good profit and sales, than it's clear for raising up the stock.

The PageRank update has nothing to do with Google's sock.
It's just a coincidence.
