Most your traffic is probably coming from Google Images, use a frame breaker and slap 2 x 336x280 blocks side by side above the fold with all content underneath them.
Try tracking them through channels and see which pages don't seem to have good CPM and then use alternative method to monetize those pages.

A simple tweak for you. Place your wallpaper thumnails in a page and when a visitor clicks on a thumbnail open a new page with adsense ads just in front of his eyes. Let him think that he has to click on these links (ads) to see the wallpaper in full size. In the same page, way below the ads show the full size of the wall papers. No one downloads a wallpaper without viewing it in full size.... you have to capitalize on this.
Making money from adsense on blogs is the same as making money from a site . Since you are getting lots of impressions , use CPM ads . They will give you any where from $3 to $6 for every 1000 impressions .
Adsense is the most unstable,unpredictable and annoying to say the least. They change their algorithams, rules and much more that i do not know frequently. One day you earn in hundreds and the other day just Zero. They are just distributing the income since that is the very essence of their survival. All said and done there is no better and easier way for online income. As rightly told by somebody One needs to build up multiple streams of income .
Yeah, this is CTR is the worst I've ever seen. You need to read some stuff on how to optimize add positioning ASAP.
