    Nope I don't use BB.com forums.

Hopefully you didn't do anything major, I sometimes get sharp pains as well that usually go away in a day or two. If it's still nagging after that or you see bruising you may have hurt it worse. In any case lay off that part of your body.

i talked to a nutritionist and he told me not to take proteins and hormones and stuff like that because they can really mess up the liver :\

i never took nutritional supliments, but a friend suggested to take them, so i asked a nutritionist(hes idk what professor that teaches at medschool also) and he told me what i wrote above

Protein is nothing more than supplementing protein if you do not get it enough in your normal foods, the powders are also designed for fast release 'after a workout' to such things as slow release for before you go to sleep.

If you over do anything it 'could' be bad, to say not to take protein is simply silly IMHO. It's the TOP item to take.

As grim has said protein is nothing more than the same as in your chicken, meat, milk etc.

For after your workouts you want a fast-digesting protein such as whey and before bed you want a slow digesting protein such as casein.

Focus your workouts on compound exercises, if your routines have less than 80% compound exercises your wasting your time.

If you dont consume excess calories you wont grow, minus the starting gains.

Learn all exercises with correct form and start light until you've nailed it down to a tee.

Ohhh a warm-up, have a slow jog on the treadmill, shadow box, hit the heavy bag until your properly warmed up as so many have injured themselves.

Haha your like me then but in all seriousness ive seen some fatal injuries caused by those who dont warm-up. You can only get away with it so long then the slighest twitch and you'll end up like bruce lee having to lie still for 8months in a hospital bed.

Yep, I've tweaked myself a few times from not warming up. I usually at least pace for a few minutes getting into the mind set to lift. :p

lol muscletech :p....a company that invests more money into advertising rather than the quality of the product itself. You can find waaaaaaaay cheaper protein brands from online retailers if you look around such as bulknutrition[dot]com or bodybuilding[dot]com.

Im going to post more info because im in the mood lol.

Alot believe you should do your reps as slow as possible IMO that couldnt be further from the truth. You want as fast as possible repetitions whilst maintaining correct form.

For most sports and everyday living training your fast-twitch fibres will be most beneficial.

Endurance shouldnt be training with weights if your doing over 15 more like 12 reps your mostly wasting your time with localised endurance.

Endurance should be trained sport specifically as in, if your a boxer hit the heavy bag etc. Weights are to increase strength, rate of force development/power and increase muscle mass.

EDIT: your right about muscletech over priced crap, i do like optimum nutritions whey though comes with some nice digestive enzymes also.

I agree, but many do like their products. A lot of guys at the gym use them, I however don't go anywhere near them because of the price, which as you said is mostly for advertising.

I like doing both fast and slow myself. Not super slow, but pause reps with heavy weight, fast twitch with medium weight. I believe a mix is better than one or the other personally.

BTW I buy mostly knock off clones of products, I take a lot of supps and save I bet 70% or more buying online, in bulk etc over going to the local GNC. Sometimes even more.

Yeah, muscletech does offer decent products and they are a popular company. It's just the prices are so high, and the humorous claims they make within advertisements is what makes them look bad. Nonetheless, they are still a multi-million dollar company, so I give them that.

Ha, I remember back in my noob days of lifting, I bought a 5lb tub of nitrotech over at GNC for like $70 bucks. With that amount if I'd known better, I could've bought 10lbs worth if I looked around some more. lol
