It works fine. Just name the databases uniqiuely, otherwise editing them gets to be a pain.

I run about 100+ blogs on subdomains.. I use it as a back up as well as the base.. it's easier for me since I have them in a code form. The only issue is that with godaddy I can't seem to get the masking to work .. other than that I'm a ok :) . Many people look down on this.. but I honestly don't care.. It makes my life easier and helps me organize my working day.

Great news, yeah that sounds like good advice to me too, thanks Rapidrobert.

100+ thats excellent, i dont look down on it, basically if it works for you and suits the situation then its all fine, as you say it makes things easier for you, thanks sweetcrabhoney.

Can i ask both of you, do you recommend subdomains or subfolders or doesn't it matter really?

The number of blogs i have in mind with this method would probably be between 3 - 6.

I use both subdomains and subfolders and the only advantage I've seen is that subfolders are slightly faster to set up. I really haven't seen any difference in traffic or ranking, but hopefully others will chime in with their experiences.

It really shouldn't be of any problem bro. I don't do it myself but I've seen countless people doing it.. :) so go ahead and do the happy dance.. (talkin bout subdomain of course)

Thats a good suggestion actually, it may be a good way of doing this, i know its usually used for when you want to offer free blogs to others, is that correct? but i guess it could suit setting up multiple blogs for myself too.
