Site gets 10k - 20k visitors daily - 0 $ income (for now)

Hello,

I got a site over 2-3 years. Last year my site had 40k visitors daily but my revenue was only 100 - 300 $. Now my site gets a constant traffic of 10k - 20k visitors daily and I don't know how to promote it.

Well, my problem is, my site has no niche. It's a URL shorter like tinyurl (I dont want to mention which site it is) but it's not directly like tinyurl because they dont get directly linked to the link, they get to my page and they have to click "go to the link".

I used Adbride on it, made 40 $ daily and after 3-4 months adbride ads were not showing, so I guess they banned. Adsense banned that domain as well, because no content.... Then I used zango I made 50-60 $ daily but now I am banned from zango as well, the account managers didnt say anything for that site it was good for zango dunno why I got banned now...

Anyway I dont know what I should do.

What would you do?

... try some Affiliate marketing?

if 0.1% of your visitors convert into buyers - that's an easy 500$- 1000$ a day

 

You mean selling e-books like those other sites?

Would be a good idea, I don't know where to get such a script...

And isn't it a problem? They can get money back with Paypal, so they pay, get e-book and then they reward money back I am sure there are such people...

Anyway what exactly you mean with Affiliate marketing? Putting others banner/text on my site?

That wouldnt bring good money, would it?

How much $ you would sell that e-book on that site? Cheap or expensive?

You would place a link on that site "How to make money online" (just example) ? Or a pop-up

Quite similar situation has happened with me.. I know the best solution for it.
What you should do. There is a perfect and totally legal way to earn money from the traffic by which u will never get banned.. u can mail me at Its very difficult to keep a tab on where i posted here on dp. so mail me and i will tell you everything in detail..

Would it good to sell e-books on that site? like linking to an ebook selling site? I always thought about starting an ebook seller site, but never found a such script...

Have you looked into CPM ads?
You could also try selling banner or text ads from people on this forum.

 

If you want to sell eBooks you can try using http://www.e-junkie.com/ they offer an automated way to sell eBooks through Paypal. They have a free 7 day trial which you might want to try out. If you need some eBooks to resell send me a PM with your email address and i will email you some for free.

I would also look into affiliate program at commission junctions http://www.cj.com/ and see if any of those work well on your site.

Its hard because you dont have a niche, but if you focus on general topics like making money you might do well.

 

Join a network that allows a site like yours. What's the point in joining a network that will ban you? Find one that works.

 

If you dont have any content i wonder how you are getting so much traffic.
Any way if you are not making much money with this kind of traffic plz sell it to me. Ofcourse i will pay you gud money.

 

such type of websites really gain traffic most of the people even i some time use those servcies its a great way to hide and hide referral.

 

As the site is a URL shortner, it's most likely to be click through traffic. The
visitor won't actually be visiting the website pages, they will be getting redirected from the domain to their long url. This will still register as a visitor in the web stats.

Try to attract visitors and offer soemthing they would be intrested in. Selling ebooks is a good idea. You can turn a goodt profit from a document that is only 15-25 pages. If the ebook could solve a particular problem visitors will go for it.

 

What did you do that you got banned from all these networks??

 

Not on my site.

On my site they get to the page where they have to click "go to the url" to go to the link

Did Zango give you any explanation on why they decided to ban you on the first place?
It won't be easy to find advertisers without content and a niche...

 

Which country the traffic comes from

 

maybe some CPM networks? for example take one from this list. The first one from the list pays up to 1.80$ per 1000 impressions of popup banner if the traffic is UK/US based, other countries have lower rates. They pay twice a month throught paypal (minimum = 100$)
