America doesn't eat much rice. How can some consume 6lbs of grain a day:-s. I don't think there is one person in America who has ever done that. (maybe in a eating contest). Wouldn't that kill some one? It would expand. Over exaggeration. Doesn't China eat more grain then any other country?
Corn & wheat are consider as grain too..but 6 pounds..i don't think so (the research might also count the grain used to raise animal, not sure)

India has a Population of 1,132,404,000 while the USA only has 304,005,000 lol china and india make up for 30% of the worlds population.i Really cant see how the USA consume more then that. they dont EAT the rice they use it on other stuff then sell it.
I know. I actually just heard on the radio. That half of our corn is used to feed livestock. Yeah 6 lbs is unbelievable. We don't even consume that eating regular meals like steak, ect. Why does everyone think every American is fat. If anyone has done any research then you should know that America has been sky rocketing on exercise and eating healthy. It sounds like no one believe in a obese Indian or Chinse. It does happen! Yes America may have more but were working that out slowly. On top of that. A HUGE PERCENT OF THOSE OBESE AMERICANS happen to be from other countries in the last 50 years! There are towns filled with Indians and Chinese. If you go to China town here in America and let me tell you there are several of them. You couldn't even tell the difference from America and China. We are all equal!
where do you actually get your information from?if its just indian newspapers, dont you think that the editors are going to be biased?id like to see a 10 year old get a credit card, im afraid. and plus why dont you just earn your money like a lot of british people instead of relying of borrowed money. its up to america whether they lend to children or people who cant pay it back, but instead of complaining about it, why dont you go and do something about it? If you have a decent job, pay your way and have a nice life, why complain? Maybe bush isnt the right candidate for the president, but who is exactly? as far as I can see, every president has made no difference, normally only making it worse. and I dont see why people are being stereotyped as 'fat, obese, selfish, lazy american' (or english for that matter), maybe americans are only seen as fat because that is only what is posted on tv and newspapers. if you watch the news, work out the ratio of what information is biased and negative. hardly ever is there something positive. especially if its about another country. if you only read newspapers and online news, you will never see both sides of the story. I am english, i have a job whilst i study and am going to university. I have worked hard for what I have and I am offended that people say things like im lazy and I dont care about what happens to the world. I recycle, i dont generally have leftovers, i dont use a car (therefore less pollution) i work hard, and frankly i am sick of being stereotyped. so why sit and complain on here when you could actually campaign for something to change or actually work together to create an agreed outcome. As long as you have your family. your friends, your health and food on the table and somewhere to live. i dont see what the problem is.

I'm tired of being stereotyped to. I think it may be a color issue. But everyone has to understand not all of America is white or fat. We are all races. :-D

if people dont listen the first time, they wont listen the 2nd or third time. id be wasting my time. and something else. colour has no specifics. because i am white does not mean i have lots of money and do whatever, regardless of everyone else, and being black does not mean at the lower end of the community or a minority. we are whoever we make ourselves and if we have a shit life. then who is to blame but ourselves? bush did not force you out of a job, it is what we do that preceeds the circumstances. we blame other people hoping itll make us feel better, whilst all along it will make no difference until we get out of that rut and do something about it. frankly, i would say that all people are equal but they do not realise it. money is not a representation of happiness and a good life. i would most certainly prefer no money, a family of my own, my first family (meaning my mother and father and sisters/brothers) and my friends. all of the love that these people can give me succeeds all desires for wealth or power or aggressions towards other cultures. Cultures are only basically personal opinion and we are allowed to state these opinions. if somebody doesnt like it, they dont have to listen to it. a person defines themselves by who they are in regards of monetary and job terms these days. can people not introduce themselves as themselves, ignoring these 'apparent' ideals? Also, if you consider what was said earlier about rice and americans, you might as well think yourselves lucky as at least you are having a healthy diet and will live a long healthy life. americans are generalised to eating rubbish, and maybe a percentage is. but in every culture there will be people at both ends of the scale. some people will eat just what they need and others will waste it. thats just how it goes. and unless you can ask every person in the world what they eat and what they waste, ask them who they are and what money they earn, nobody can give a factual percentage of who eats what. if there is a ratio on tv, such as '80% of americans are obese', this will never be true. as the information will be collected from only a select few then generalised for the whole population. And especially if the programme is biased, then they will only collect information from certain areas they know will inhabit obese families, which is stereotypically unfair. a lot of people dont actually know what to be biased is. being biased is where facts are used in such a way that points towards one side of an argument. opinions against an issue will be stated as fact. the only way people can know the whole story is if they experience or see it.
i never trust those "research". Most of them are sponsored by pharmaceutical companies to scare us so we keep buying their product
You don't kow which foreign high-tech companies are in your country ? Probably you don't know a lot about your country... I'll mention several for you: Google, Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, Texas Instruments, Cisco, Intel, Sun, Motorola (all based in Bangalore), IBM (Delhi)...aren't these high tech companies? It's true that there are big indian companies like Tata consulting, Wipro and Infosys...but so far they were just service providers...probably now they start to do some more than just providing services...but that won't happen overnight and those american companies aren't just gonna watch... Yes, India is a big market, no one says it's not...that's why most probably american companies won't pull out (like they won't pullout from China)...and that's why indian companies will have to compete fiercely to get a market share... Haha...India has even now high tech companies...but having tech companies doesn't mean that automatically you will be as good as more established western companies (Wipro won't be Google anytime soon...or Hewlett-Packard...or IBM...and these established companies won't just stay and look at Wipro...they are advancing too). Forget about Bush...try to look at this from a broader perspective, try to see the big picture.....Bush will be gone in less than an year... US companies won't retreat from indian market...because US economy will get better...it's just a crisis as it was before...and US economy recovered after a while...maybe you don't have such crisis because you don't have an established market economy (don't forget about India experimenting with communism...which was a failure). You know what some people say? That Romanians (from eastern Europe) are more talented than indians when it comes to software - good education...better english - no offense but when you listen to an indian from India who speaks english is like listening a broken radio: you have to concentrate to understand what they speak...more close western values, more work ethics)...many US companies took this as alternative to you: they opened branches in Romania. ----------- Its just lack of proper exposure, training. ----------- Luckily, western companies are taking care of this, providing you with training and exposure...and I haven't said India is small! Because they believe everything they see on TV ...they haven't travelled here in US to see with their eyes... Oh yeah! I'm going to gym and I see the gym full of people of all ages exercising...I quite rarely see that in my home country, for example. It's better to look in someone else's garden than in yours ...I bet there are lots of fat people in China and India and if you do a percentage comparing the number of population who knows what that might reveal... That is not seen on TV...that America has lots of fat immigrants who came here already being fat...

All of the circumstances you say less more than other country,include your country. Chinese have great success in extensive mass fitness programs and ompetitive sports. Chinese Quality is better than more other. Is your country has car bomb explode? Your newspaper can do personal attack?
I went to all you can eat already...and I saw people...fat and normal... Most of the immigrants don't choose what they eat...they just eat whatever...they become fat in time...and don't tell me all the immigrants are stuck with the minimum wage for years! If yes, then they are not the educated and smart ones, I guess...you have the life you are making...healthy food doesn't make you fat if you know what you eat. If you are stupid then you might become fat as well (but don't forget also that some people are fat not because of the food but because they are ill...).
