I noticed PayPal lets you close your account. So if you close your account, then decide to recreate another account and use the same credit card and stuff, will PayPal get suspicious and limit my account? And if they don't, will my spending limit be reset?
I don't think so that you can use credit card again once you already used it in another paypal account. DON.
Nope, I don't think so as long as you don't do the general suspicious activities that gets your account limited.
I guess it can be used again only if you credit card linked with your account is removed before closing the account. If account is closed without removing the card it can't be used anytime in future with Paypal.
If you intend to use your paypal account some time later, do not cancel your account. Cancel it only when you are extremely sure that you no longer want to use the account ever again in your life.
For one, I want to cancel it because I'm like $3 away from my spending limit, and two I registered under a nickname for my first name and I don't want to go through the process of having to prove what my real name is. I believe I could register a personal account and use that credit card, but if I have too many transitions in a short period, won't I get limited?
Closing and starting a new account is not the way to go. If you have not verified your account then do it as that would inevitably raise the limits or remove it entirely. Yes, it is entirely possible to get your account limited if you keep doing what you do to circumvent any restrictions. What do you have to hide your identity to paypal ? If you are not doing anything illegal, there is no reason to hide.
