Finally some real questions: 1. How exactly does the bible work "according to what it teaches" but other religious books don't? Because when people actually study it, apply it's teachings, you can see that it works very well indeed. Unless one attempts to do this, one will never see it. The problem with other books is that their is no real purpose that makes any sense. Some of these "other" books might make one feel "enlightened" for a period of time but it does not and can not present real answers to real questions such as: What happens to us when we die. What is God's purpose for the earth. Why does God allow suffering. I have not seen any other "book" answer these questions that make any sense at all. 2. How is it any more likely that after death your spirit goes to heaven/hell instead of it reincarnating? How can you support your claims about this issue other than "because the bible sais so"? I think this is where you are getting me confused with others who believe in a "spirit" as some type of entity in us. This is not a Bible teaching. Yes, there are some verses which may appear to look this way. However, it is always about putting Bible verses into the correct context. The Bible teaches that the spirit or "life force" of a person is what God gives us so we are actually alive. Without this "spark" that God gives us, we die, simply put. How's this for some deep thinking? Scientists and doctors know how we live, how we breathe and how the body works. They don't know why! They don't know "how" life began. They don't know what causes the cells to start dividing at the right time to form a living being. The design of our body is living proof we are created. Considering the elements of the universe, it is a pure miracle that we are living on this planet. Billions of people take this for granted. Only a small amount of credit is given to the one who made us. Do these answers satisfy?
What? The Glorious Quran tells us what happens when we die, we get told the purpose of earth, we get told why God allows suffering. Mabye you have not read the most read book on the planet or mabye I am missing something? Infact, the Quran tells us much more than the bible, and...yes there is even more, it does it all in God-Like poetry.
they have some hypotheses way more realistic than "in the beginning ..." they don't? I think they know quite a few things about this. but comparing it to the animals' bodies is a proof they've evolved A miracle would be if we lived in Venus. Or Pluto, that would be a miracle. Earth is a natural place to be
Was the earth always that way? So human life isn't a miracle because it happened on a planet where conditions favour it?
please don't pretend I haven't asked these questions several times before what exactly do you mean by "it works"? What does applying its teachings do? have you actually read any of those other books? ok, so how is it more likely what you believe is true and not what other people believe about what happens after death is true? true, but do some holes in our knowledge mean what the bible say is correct? dna?! that's debatable why is it a miracle? you forgot to tell me how your wife managed to determine by herself which translation of the bible is correct without being able to speak the languages it's written in
Sorry? I lost you on that one. You would be better off asking these questions and many more when our people knock on your door. As I already said before, I am not getting into a doctrinal debate with you or anyone else. It is far better to speak face to face about this instead of hiding behind a computer screen. I can only lead you to the truth. It is up to you to listen and learn it.
The same reason for why he ignores "lightlessism for dummies" i presume. Same for tripitaka, torah and so on.
That sounds like Scientology - minus the "Or we will break into your house and kick your dog" at the end.
