For those who thought they broke up, they only took a 4 year hiatus. They are on a US Tour this Summer! Check Ticketmaster.

Yea they went up and down... They promise their new one will be "Heavy as fuck! Heavier than Vol. 3 but just as Experimental!" Joey told Drum Magazine.

They were all last together in December 2006 in New York for the Voliminal: Outside The 9 release. Joey, Corey, and Sid started doing their own thing. The others did signings and made some songs for the 2008 album.

I could care less about the HAF factor...just give me some tunes that I want to play over & over

for instance off their self titled cd, these songs without a doubt I love:

(sic), eyeless, wait & bleed, spit it out, me inside, liberate, no life

whereas on Iowa not one song stood out to me...I was more than disappointed.

funny thing is that A LOT of the sophomore offerings from similar groups really sucked...Static-X also comes to mind and a few others.

The only bands who's 2nd CD didn't bite a** were Godsmack & SOAD in my estimation.

I wonder if they'll all proclaim that Joey Jordison is still the best drummer in the world. That's not what the press say, it's not what music fans say and it's certainly not what the critics say.

Sure, he's a fast drummer. But fast doesn't necessarily mean good - I'm sure his girlfriend/wife/partner (s) can vouch for that:p

Needless to say, I'm a fan of korn. And could of told you this news way back in December:eek:

I just read a thing on HEDpe, saying that they were basically the only band of that "genre" still around....

my question is, what came next! ?

or what did you gravitate towards next anyway?

I love all of Slipknots songs. I only like KoRns old stuff. And I out grew Disturbed.

I think Joey is a killer Drummer, especially since he is only 5'3". But he isn't the best. I do credit him for being the most dedicated musician in Metal.

No Slipknot has a contract... 9 Albums. They are making #4. MFKR is NOT a studio album, it was a demo BEFORE they signed to Roadrunner Records. Some members think Slipknot will make 12 albums.

Jim and Corey are still in Stone Sour, but Corey said Family and Slipknot come before Stone Sour. Plus Corey has about 30 songs he made for Slipknot that the other 8 Members said no to. He says some of those will be new Stone Sour songs.

Check Ticketmaster or Slipknot1.com or myspace.com/slipknot1 for Tour Dates.
