Finally the draft is here!!

Anybody been reading the 117 different mock drafts online? One of these days I'd like to compare all the mocks to the actual and see who has a better track record! :)

We already know who the first pick is going to be, Jake Long OL to MIA...who's next and where will Darren McFadden go??

I still think the Pats should have had to give up the 7th pick rather than the 31st....but I guess them losing the SB was sweet justice in and of itself :p

As for my team, The Dallas Cowboys (pauses for boos to complete) - we have 2 picks in the 1st round...be interesting to see what we do there. If I had to bank $$ I'd say we pick @ 22 but trade out of 28....THOUGH we def need tons of help @ CB so I could see 1 of those picks there and maybe a wr/rb depending on whos' available @ 28.

    Thoughts??

    Did anyone watch the draft?

Cowboys wheeled and dealed just like they usually do, making as many trades as they did picks! 6!

I always watch the draft from the First pick to Mr. Irrelevant. My team is the Steelers and I'm pretty happy with that we got. BTW timsdd thanks for passing on Mendenhall :)

I thought the Redskins, my favorite team, had a great draft. So did the Steelers and the Chiefs. The Jags had the worst draft in my opinion, trading a lot to go up and get a guy that they ended up drafting too high.

As for the Cow Patties, they draft Felix Jones when they could have had Rashard Mendenhall. And of course the PacMan Jones trade. LOL. He'll never play a down again in the NFL. Good job Jerry. I guess he wants everyone named Jones on his team.

didn't you echo this same sentiment last year? and how'd that turn out :p

seriously though, I'm all for stomping the Pats!

hey no problem, happy to help. They (Da Boys) got criticized for passing on him but they're reasoning being that Mend was more of a Barber mold, they wanted someone to be a change of pace to Barber not the exact same thing...not to mention that Felix can return kicks, is a threat out of the back field, does not mind sharing the load...I guess Mend was a big poo poo when it came to sharing time..."not a team player" in that regard, and that came from one of his coaches!

The Cowboys covered their A in the draft in regard to Jones, and big whoop a 4th round pick (and if he never plays again (which is entirely possible with Roger Drop The Hammer Goodell)), they get a pick back from TN next year ;)

no worries on S for brains Adam Jones...he'd simply be a bonus if he gets to play!

anybody have any notable "no shows" on their respective teams for the spring's "voluntary workout" programs?

Marion Barber III & Ken Hamlin have stayed away from Dallas all year thus far I have read. Both want long term contracts...hopefully this (mini) hold-out does not carry over to the upcoming OTA's in a few week and then training camp in a couple months!!

I can't wait for the upcoming season. Based on my screen name, you can probably guess that I'm a huge Raiders fan! I used to go to the games in costume as the Gradu-Raider...cap and gown, along with a skull mask! This should be an exciting year with McFadden and Russell!

I hate this part of the season! Training camp, and preseason game injuries are the worst! So basically I just make sure my guys don't get hurt around this time.

Fantasy football is fun if you play with people who know what they are doing. It sucks when you have a league, and people don't check up on their teams.

That's usually the case with the free leagues, they just kind of forget about it I guess. Or they start losing, and give up on fixing their rosters, which results in the people they play that week getting easy wins.

This year I hope to find a payed league online somewhere, like $25 or $50 per person or something. The hard part is filling it up with 8-12 people who will take it serious haha.
