Terrible experience with Adwords

I signed up for Adwords , i really expected more than this .
Every 1000 impressions i get one click , no matter how attractive the ads are .
Seems people are trained not to click on adsense any more ?

Or maybe i am doing something wrong , any advice from experts here is appreciated plzzzzzz .

I'm sure you're doing a lot wrong, by the sounds of it. You mentioned Adsense. Are you only using the Content Network?

Leave some details about your campaign if you want help.

i am trying to market this site www.CodeEXplore.com
The idea is simple , for programmers who write technical articles , i allow them to use Adsense to make money by adding adsense in thier articles .

i made several campaigns , with several titles but i always end up with 1 or 2 clicks per 1000 imp .
I tried pay per click , but i lost lots of money and still no effect .

Had to quit adsense totally now , and searching for alternatives .

I have the same problem.. No matter how the ads look like I get 0 clicks or only few. And if I use only the search network I get only few impressions. After "optimizing" my ads and keywords I still get a poor scoring. Why is that ?

Your problem's are quite obvious, dude.

First of all, most, if not all, of your visitors are web developers - people who know about Adsense and who are therefore less likely to click on them. This is a fundamental fault.

Secondly, even if your visitors were likely to click on your ads, you haven't made them stand out. The ads seem "tucked away" and indistinct. Some of them have even been placed in the worst possible places, such as at the very bottom of the page, on the left-hand side.

Another major flaw of your setup is that, in many instances, you've used link units instead of ad units. Visitors must therefore click through the link units before being presented with ads. You can't expect many clicks having made the process more difficult than it should be.

And on a final note, be aware that Google only allow three Adsense blocks per page. You've used five on your home page.

    mmmmmmm , u misunderstood .
i am talking about adwords here . I made several campaigns on Adwords and i dont get more than 1 click per 1000 impressions .

more than that you made many mistakes though .
The forum we are talking on now uses adsense and is targeting web developers and adsense experts :) and it seems to display adsense code without much blending too .

more than that , i am not depending on the main page to generate revenue . My model is way too far from that , cause each article will be utilizing Adsense . Click on any article on my site to see what i am talking about .

More than that Google updated the policy , u are allowed 3 link units and 3 Ad units , visit the TOS page to check that .

But again , my question is about adwords , not Adsense , i am not there yet .
I have another site which generates
reasonable amount of cash per 1000 impressions , i know how to handle the Ad positioning just when i get enough hits .

I definately will not consider Adwords to achieve my goals , as i already found it unuseful in my case . I still want to know how others are dealing with it . :)

You wil always have bad experiences
if you continue to do the things you do.
and that is very clear..You dont follow
directions, cause this is the Adsense section
of the DP forum and here you are posting about Adwords.
    - you obviously don't follow directions-

this is a very strange reply from someone whos signature is Use Adwords? You are a Victim! , cause your signature proves that what i am saying is right . Actually this proves you are dis honest and you are not willing to share what you got even , and sure there are better ways to direct someone to another forum , knowing that Adsense and Adwords are very related .
Seems are just not aware that they use different domains for same program while sites like Adbrite use one domain for publishers and Advertisers , so does clicksor , so does the rest of the world .

i do not like your manipulation , if you have something good to say then say it , if you do not have something useful to say then you can BS in other threads .

why would you want everyone clicking on your adword ads? You only want people who are interested clicking.

Do you pay on adwords to get 1 click per 1000 imp ?
my question is about the percentage of people who clicks .
