    Hi there,

On one of my 14 months old websites there are more than 350 pages but only 300 pages are indexed in Google?

How to index all the pages in Google.?
How to get traffic from all the pages.?
How to get the Constant position for all the pages in Google?

Site is being regularly updated and it has updated XML site map too.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Regards

The first thing I'd do is check to make sure those 50 pages aren't orphaned pages - they should always link to at least one other page on your site. I'd also check to make sure that your sitemap.xml file is valid and updated as well, and then include an auto-discovery directive to your robots.txt file.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for your reply.

My sitemap.xml is updated and includes all the pages.

Secondly, all the inner pages are linked from one main pages.

Can you tell me please that what is an auto-discovery directive and how to use it in the robots.txt file.

    Regards

Add this to the end of your robots.txt file:

    Sitemap: http://www.yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml

Where "yourdomain.com" is the domain name and TLD you are using (such as google.com for instance).

I guess the simple answer for all your question will be to build lots of backlinks. Build backlinks for your home page + build some backlinks for the internal pages too.

This will help your site to get a constant position in search results and more pages will get index.
