The Daily Mail published the results of a little test that scientists ran on a number of computer keyboards in offices in the UK. It appears that filthy computer keyboards can make you sick. Looking at my keyboard, some keys look rather dodgy too. Hmmm?!

I take my keyboard in the shower with me.
Just unscrew the bottom part and take the top part (all keys still in place) in the shower and give it a good scrub. Gets rid of all the nasty finger marks and bits of sandwich.

Thanks for informing us. What is the solution? What should we use to avoid the bacteria (other than cleaning)?

    But I use a Laptop? :(

Get some lysol wipes and some lysol spray -

Most important - just remember to wash your hands really well a few times a day.

May a suggest a woman for the shower! :p

It is important to keep the keyboard clean. A quick swipe of a paper towel with some rubbing alcohol will do the trick everyday. It cleans safely and removes all germs.

Using a compressed gas duster once a day keeps the gunk out of the keys and blows away those little key eating creatures

Another good product is a squirt of Armour All on the keyboard once a week. Wipe and shine with a good soft cloth. Keeps the keys looking new.

    Try it !

If you have an aversion to cleaning, then it would be best to never go to the loo again. Just use the kitchen sink or an empty bottle, instead. ;)

Be careful with what you use for cleaning. I used acetone once and it turned my QWERTY keyboard into a Q FPTY keyboard. :D And, yes, wash your hands well after every visit to the loo.

    Dream on!
