Depends on your niche, do you get 1cent per click $1 or $10 per click, then take into account where your traffic comes from, then try and estimate the convert percentage, then take into account factors that could affect this negatively, your server going down through too much traffic on your hosting account, and is the traffic all to one website or a number of websites, where would you need to promote to gain this traffic and if the clicks convert poorly for the advertiser will your earnings per click drop. Would you have to skills to get traffic that clicks on the ads? Its not so simple.
If your site is new dont think about how much you can earn just do your best to increase traffic in the best way

You can make $100, not a big deal. All you need is traffic. The best source of traffic is Search engines, so try to improve your search results ranking.
You don't need 10k unique visitors per day, to do this. I have done it with 300 unique per day on 1 site.
You need to think as if you were a visitor and not as if you want to make money when you design your page and look at it. Are the ads useful ? Do they look like stupid ugly useless ads ? How can you make them interesting ? How can you make me, the user, want to read them ? How can you suggest me products which can be of any interest to me (referral) ? ... ? As long as you don't do like we sometimes see on some blogs (I remember a recent example I answered a few days ago, a blog with red and blue ads with red borders, and more ads than content), you'll be fine. More ads do not always equal more money.
Like people have mentioned there are more factors to it that simply saying how many visitors do I need. It is nice to get that figure in your head though. Work on small %'s of your traffic clicking ads.
For now about 85% of my visitors are coming from Google...but I'm not running yet any ads... Considering the nature of my site I'm thinking to run ads from software making companies before running Adsense....
300 uniques and you got $1000/month?? Wow! Your CTR must have been outstanding then...but also you might be in a niche which pays really well (maybe like auto, finance, credit cards)...
Depends on niche On one of my sites at my right ctr and ppc 5k/day will make me like 100$/ days sadlly i have like only 600 uv/day It depends on many factors
It depends on the niche, placement, keywords, blending, etc. Anyway... I would say more than 2000 unique visitors / day.
