the reason I hate bollywood is the basic difference between what Americans and Indians (except you vibi) consider entertainment. The west likes drama, solid acting, gunfights and explosions. The east loves music and dancing mixed with stories and puts them in everything. It is like the east wants a whole package of all types of entertainment, whereas west is able to separate them.

I concur... the east wants to go to a film.. laugh, cry, get thrilled and leave with a happy ending, not to mention sprinkled with synchronized dances and scantily clothed females. And a few old old old (58 year old) male actors who get paired with 20 year old actresses really irks me. What really bothers me is the fan following that these people have...

And the storylines of late have been going downhill all the way... we used to make some great movies, they used to have one theme and concentrated on it... nowadays its just some hollywood film rip off

 

that's another thing I don't understand...you outlaw nudity but want scantily clad women in the movies? mixed signals.

since hollywood movies suck I imagine any rip off of them would be worse. except the porn rip offs...those are usually funny

 

Indians are seriously messed up in that regard... we have old people with old morals and values running the country (basically they are against everything modern) and then theres the seriously confused Indian youth who cant decide between their culture and western culture... and then there are the odd ones like me.. free thinking wastes who can learn to accept or tolerate almost everything

hah... indian porn always has some serious background music... there are pornos featuring white people and hindi background music floating around here too... if you understand hindi they could be really hilarious
