Here is my story 1. I have registered domain 6 months ago. 2. My domain got ranked for my keyword within 2 months plus went to PR3 in the next update. 3. My site ranking climbed up steady to #4 and stay at that position, Google DCs reported #3 in all DCs. 4. I have been noted to change my domain one month ago. 5. I have registered another new domain 1 month ago and did 301 redirect individual pages from old one to a new one. I changed all my links under my control pointed to a new one too. 6. Google found my new site within 2 days after changed. 7. first 3 days after my site was found, Google put it ranks to an old position which the old domain ranked before. (#4) 8. Then my ranking went down to #9 and run around #7 - #9. However, Google still index my 2 sites. 9. Pages in my old site got moved to new site, page by page and indexed pages in old domain decreased at steady pace. 10. My new site ranking increased to #5 and all DCs reported #3, which is the old position of my old domain. 11. Google updated PR yesterday and my new domain got PR0 while the old got PR0 either. My site ranking still not changed 12. After I sleep and wake up today, I found my new domain ranking disappeared from top 100 plus ranked #69-70 in all Google DCs!! 13. I checked in Google webmaster tools and found no error or warning occur in my account. I checked indexed pages and found my new domain got indexed completely and no any pages got de-indexed. My old domain still has 2 pages indexed in Google. 14. I do search my new domain in Google and found my domain name appear for the first one, when I search for an old domain, it appear the new one instead and in the first place. 15 . I checked all links pointed to a new one and found most of my links has been cached/indexed in Google already. 16. I checked ranking carefully and found that no one replace my ranking. My site is dropped to #69 but that's not mean site #69 taken my placement. Only my own ranking dropped to #69 and put the previous #100 to #101. 17. My site seems disappear from almost all keywords I ranked before, except some keywords which has no competitor, I still ranked #1 in Google and all Google DCs. I don't know what happened and cannot find any conclusion about this. My assumption is - Google just found new pointed of all my links and re-calculate link pop/ranking for my domain. This may an temporarily dropped. However, I'm not quite sure what happened from dropped from #3 - #69 overnight after PR updated in all Google DCs. I don't know if 301 has some effected on my new domain or not. Is it because 301 and only one month period after 301? Please help

As far from my experience you shud wait. I had these type of RESULTS earlier. Once i was at 15th position for a keyword. Then after sometime i got 200+ ranking then after i was invisible. But i had patients now i am at 12th position for the same keyword & hope that wud improve. So just have patients & don't take any wrong step in HURRY. Bcoz these days SERP's are not static they are changing continuously. So just keep doing your work & wait. I hope that everything wud be fine. And you are asking Is it due to 301 Redirection, then i wud say if you have done Right 301 Redirection then Don't worry.
Thanks for your list. I had take a look and found nothing in your list that might cause my site ranking for now. Thank you. I felt panic because I never done anything in black hat such as redirect/cloaking or similar. Plus I didn't find any problems with this site in my Google webmasters too. All pages are indexed well. Almost all of my site ranking are going up and this only one is down. Only this site done on 301 redirect either. I'm sure that I have done correctly because I do check page by page to make sure that all pages go to the right direction. It may due to the length because I had done only 22 days before PR update, which mean BL should be updated as well. My 301 may make confusion to Google anyway. Thank you very much for your input. P.S. How long did you wait before ranking come back to #12? Did you done on some improvement such as directory submissions, article submission, etc. while your ranking was down?
You'll get such problem if the 301 permanent redirect has been not done properly. At the most you should organize your links well in your new domain site especially to point it directly to the new site and update your content. I think it will take 2-3 months to get your earlier position since Google take time to recognize the 301s, keep working on your site's content and link building.
