    Don't really understad Google PR.

I bought quite a few expired domains, not much time to develope it.

want to know if you lose the PR rating it you park the name.

Also How does Google rate website?

    Thanks in advance

Google devalues parked domains, they don't want them appearing in the search results.

As for PR, it depends on your backlinks.

Ignore Google PR..Its doesn't really matters other than acheiving good Backlinks for your site. Here is one great post of Matt Cutts on Google PR

Not sure but I think PR will not drop as it depends on the number of back links.

    In many (most) cases, yes:
    - loose pr
    - loose rankings
    - dissapear from the index.

You should develop it even as a mini site, asap.

Im in the same quandry. I have over 12 thousand domains and the far majority of them are parked. Should I develop sites or sell them?

I'm the same as you, i have a similar volume of domains and only 150 or so have websites. You should at least throw up a single page site on them with some Adsense and/or Affiliate links. I find it pays more then parking, but it's a daunting task making so many sites even if it is one page.

I've managed to do most the important domains, ones with DMOZ, Yahoo Directory listings, PR or good backlinks. If you had domains with PR that have been parked since last update, check them and you will probably find they have grayed out and been de-indexed.

    Exactly.

Even semi-parking networks, the ones with some content but a fully automated one, like 1plus.net, got hit hard. Most domains de-indexed.

Wow where do you find the time to manage all those domains? I can't even count to 12 thousand. :)

Yeah, mostly it will vanish and i have found Godaddy is the worst for sites loosing PR and being de-indexed when parked.

Sedo seems to retain PR better then all the different parking i use, for instance www.imobi.net i have had on there for 3 or 4 updates now and it hasn't budged from PR3.

PR was only indication of how quality your site is, its also base from backlinks. "quality BL" once you achieve it, it indicates with PR. so people are dying to have good output.

We have 200 domains expiring this month. I checked most of them and they no longer have any PR. Most have PR of N/A and some have PR of 0. So, I am expecting most of the domains have no PR while most are older than 3 years old.

So, that begs the question again...what do I do with all these sites? Do I set them up as one page sites, push RSS feeds to them, update content on them how and when I can and add affiliate networks, adsense, etc along with links to my main site??

Only a few hundred actually expire this year so we have thousands and thousands just sitting here...doing nothing. Please help!!!

There's a few multi-blog scripts and similar where you can have one script install/database and it will push RSS content to multiple domains based on keywords. Just use the same template across the lot with good Adsense implementation, this will be the easier option.

How do you exactly pay for 12 thousand domains each year?

I work for a very big company who has spent years and a lot of money is acquiring these domains. Most we still have for a few years longer. Only 1200 to 1500 are actually expiring this year. So, even if I let those go, I still have a repository of 9000+ domains at my disposal which are not being used currently or are just parked.

So, is it worth it to attempt to monetize these domains? We have the domains, they are ours and we have the resources in place to manage each one as we see fit.

    Anyone?
