$10 a gallon gas?

They are now predicting that gas prices can go as high as $10 a gallon.

I think it is time for the government to step in and take these companies over don't you?

This is totally going against the security of our nation as the oil companies are absolutely trying to bankrupt our nation with these high gasoline prices and the companies and our leaders only being concerned with how much more profits they can take in.

In days gone by this would have been called treason. Now they call it 'doing business'.

But what would I know about this. I only have a degree in security.

Reports predict that the crude could even touch $200 a barrel and stay there for a long period. Time to look at the renewable source of energy?

$200 per barrel is worst case scenario. The oil producing countries could just decide to produce an extra few million barrels of oil each day and the price would come down.

I know this is absolutely stupid, its time the government do something serious, here is canada, ontraio gas prices are expected to go to about $1.50 per liter by the summer. With in basically a month the gas price has risen about $0.25. This is INSANE.

Its pissing me off. I genuinely hope those gas companies and thier boards get whats coming to them. This isnt bissiness. This is robberry.

Well prices are going higher and higher and I think Oil production should be incearse otherwise we would see crude at $150/Barral soon.

In India we have 50 Rs a Litter which is $1.30 around.

That would be just insane. If that's going to be the case, then I'm getting a hydrogen powered car. The GM Hi Wire looks kick ass go youtube it if you haven't seen it already.

All I can say is good luck finding a hydrogen filling station. If they had filling stations it might be worth it.

The gas is ungodly and it is approaching $4 a gallon here to. This is really starting to piss me off.

Take over the oil companies? right lets give the government more power! in fact why dont we just change our form of government back to monarchy so we dont have to make any of our own choices.

Buy a bike. Take the bus.

Why dont you head on out, get a mineral rights claim, and pay someone millions of dollars to drill your well and sell your oil for cheaper than they are? Sounds like a decent plan to me.

Wait a minute, what about this war in the middle east? have any of you complained that it was a war for oil? and now you are complaining about the oil prices!?

In fact, something just hit me, what if the government is actually stepping in, but instead of taking over the corporations...they are taking over countries... thank god we have people like you who want to step in and control everyone else.

You are responsible for your dependency on oil.

    lol.... soap box

there reason where at war is cause of sep 11 not for oil

there alot of place that dont offer bus services
what about the low class that cant afford it
the goverment needs to steep in there crooks and charging to much for gas believe me if i could afford to have oil drilled i would and sell it cheap thats not going to happen unless i win the lottery

I thought $3.80/gallon was already bad enough where I'm at... If the price keeps increasing then there's no point in driving.

Maybe I should start walking instead of driving. I could use the exercise...
