Well, it really depends on your newsletter! You need to find advertisers that would appeal to your readers. How many subscribers do you have? And I'm a little unclear - do you want to make $1 per newsletter or $1 per subscriber? $1 per newsletter should be easy enough - many small companies would be willing to sponsor an article at that cost weekly. But if you want $1 per subscriber, you might have a harder time depending on how many subs you have.

Tell us some more about your newsletter, market, goals, etc. Good luck!

I think he meant he is asking $1 from advertiser per inclusion. Yeah, what is the newsletter about? How many subscribers? I might be intrested.

Oh, in that case, I'd be interested as well. $1 for an ad in a newsletter, depending on subscribers, is very reasonable for a startup company. I can't wait to hear more :)

First of all, you should try to do a run for some merchants (either those on CB, CJ or even PDC) and assign them with unique campaign ID. Track your conversion rate with the e-mails that you have sent out. This is important as advertisers of newsletters often look at this.

Also, you can consider doing solo ads rather than providing a small amount of space in your newsletter for advertisements.

Try approaching owner of a popular blog and write up an advertisement for your newsletter that he can put on his blog. You have to be willing to spend a fair amount of money.

I would like to make 1$ per subscriber until the subscriber unsubscribe or not.
Is it too expensive for an advertiser?

What is your newsletter's niche? You should have no trouble at all getting advertisers from right here, if you did mean $1 per ad.

So, if I understand what you are asking: you have 100 subscribers and hope to charge your advertisers a CPM (cost per thousand) rate of $1,000 ($1 per subscriber.) No chance. Not even close. Typical CPM's that I hear about are $10 or less these days. Think $.01 or less per subscriber for a reasonable advertising rate, unless you have a special list of the very rich or something.

    Hi Annea,

My subscribers are interested with all concerning London, i thought about an average of 0,20$ for text or banner ad(5 ads/newsletter) per one newsletter sent until unsubscription per the subscriber.

I think it is a reasonable price ?

I will charge 0,01$ for a text ad per subscriber and per newsletter issue(4 issues per month).
Or i could charge 0,20$ per subscriber's newsletter(4 issues per month) issue per year.
    What do you think?

Thank-you. I hate to admit it, but I'm not very internet savvy and really don't know how.
