I got a PR1 and my site was down for 3 hours after that!?

    After my site got a PR1, the site was down for 3 hours without any message, so good and bad news for me.... Anyways, it's back up now, but I want to know whether any of you have faced this problem ever too?

    That doesn't really make sense. PR has nothing to do with whether your hosting is up or not.

    I don't understand what you're saying? Do you think getting a PR made your site crash?
    Or do you mean it went down in SERPS? - either is a coincidence.

    There is no relation between your site down and PageRank. There is no logic behind it.

    I know, but it did happen, and the second after I got the PR1, and then 3 hours later it came back, it was weird, I was tracking it with WebMonitoring or something, and it said it was down for 3 hours, 3 minutes, 3 seconds.... Anything on this?

    Your site down at that time due to problem at your hosting provider ends. And there is no any direct or indirect relations with your PR,hosting provider and Google.

    If he is slashdotted I would believe that such incidents might happen but definitely not for PR changes especially to PR1.

    Yep. I contacted my host, and they told me it isnt a problem on there side..... It seems freaky- and i dont believe it myself, but a coincidence?

    If it is not your host then it is the site itself or a dns problem. Trust me. It's nothing to do with Page Rank.
