I recently learned our parent company owns over 12k domains. Most are just names but many have been used, are parked redirects, etc. I dont have numbers on how many are indexed or have PR value, but many of the domain names, hundreds of them, fit in with our current model for one of our sites we are trying to build links for. If you had 12k domain names would you just sell them or try to monetize them some other way?
our competitors have 100k backlinks. The industry we are pushing our site in is kinda notorious for being spammy. Should I park each one, or a fair amount of the domains, and add links to content on our main site as well as add RSS feeds or look into adding some unique content. We have the resources on hand to park all the domains and have two or three people add content to the sites. Now, it might take a few days/weeks to get unique/quality content on each site, but we can do it. Again, what would you do?
So, it seems like the consensus is to keep the domains and attempt to utilize them for promoting our main site? What about adding unique content to each? Should I just stick with backlinks?
