Like a site with static pages that you kinda create and let it run. how much adsense revenue do you make?
yes, like you put of an information site that has articles on a certain niche. then you just let it run
There are many pages that I have not updated in a long time, that still pay very well . . . BUT to determine which pages get updated, I look at the earnings of all the pages, and then update the top 20 or so every month. Google does like updated pages - might as well work on the ones that pay the most. There is only so much time available. And yes, it does depend upon SE (Google) ranking. I also target pages for more SEO, that I think SHOULD pay well, but are not ranking as well as I think they should. I only target Google. I get more hits from just Google Images, than I do from all the referrals from Yahoo, MSN and Ask COMBINED! Make sure you provide really good (accurate) alt text for your images, and you too can get a lot of Google Images traffic.
It all depends on how many static pages. I've got 251 static pages, only half of which is indexed by google and yahoo. I make approx $2/day.
You can make lot of money from static pages if you have some unique content on talk of the town subject. But you need to promote your site. If you make a post on any forum with a sensational title and a link to your site, people will definately visit your site and if your page is well optimized, you will get the clicks. Optimize the page for search engines to get them listed within the top 10 results. If you get there, thats lot of money.
I fellow dp member posted this site. http://www.good-dog-food.com/ I am talking about a site like that.
AKA money for nothing, of which there is no such thing. if you don't water a plant, it'll die, right? you get the idea
Thats a good philosophy, but I have this one plant that I only watered once last year...and it makes more than a dollar per day consistently It is only a six page website...it all depends on the niche and search engine ranking...
