Getting listed on Wikipedia

    I read that it is possible to get your business/website listed on Wikipedia. Is there any tutorials out there that explain how to do that?

    It's more a case of luck of the draw. If your website is worthy, someone else will add it as a reference URL. It's VERY rare that you get away with adding your own site.

    Very unlikely unless you are a Fortune 500 company that had such a fame. But such companies normally won't need Wiki to give them a boost anyway.

    I have an LLC formed in Massachusetts. Shouldn't it be OK to add it into here along with my companies website?

    I run a pub in Sydney and I had a go at adding our website to this page

    Campsie

    It has been there for a few months now (Campsie Hotel ) link at bottom of page.

    Is this what you mean ?

    I really hope those commercial entities spare Wiki of the spams, keep it intact as a treasure trove of information and not a place where everyone try to get a listing for the sake of the PR and backlinks they will be getting.

    Yes. I have to agree with this. If every Joe Shmoe and their Small Company was listed there, it may ruin the quality.

    Yeah there are alot of editors, its rare to be able to add your website by yourself. It usually has to be referenced by some one else.

    Not sure on that too, but any link with Wiki can still brings a lot of benefits in terms of traffic and the likes......
