    Female Celebrity Mega Site
    14 GB, Approximately 4301 celebs, 7 year old domain, 1st page SERPS

    * URL: http://dslcelebs.com/
    * Established: Wed Jun 14 2000
    * Page views/month: 60,000
    * Monthly Revenue: 225
    * Google Pagerank: 2
    * Uniques/Month: 14,000

    Description:

    This is one the oldest, and one of my first celebrity membership sites. The result of 10 years of collecting pictures for my celebrity sites. I stopped updating it maybe 1.5-2 years ago. But it still has 15 recurring members being billed $14.95.

    The site is solid on SERPS. Currently showing 6th, and normally on page 1 as it shuffles daily. Even though I have done nothing with it.

    There is a nice mix of pictures, so you do not have to do a feet or legs niche. You can do a bikini, skin, or some other type of site if you wish. Plenty of pictures to go different marketing angles.

    The domain is 7 years old.

    This site, while not updated, can easily come back to life. You can add in a CMS, and build it back to a nice little month maker for you on recurring revenue in a niche with little competition. Or you can switch gears an make the next Mr Skin, or celebrity skin site. You'd have a massive archive to hit the ground running.

    I process through Verotel. While there may be others out there. I prefer to work with companies I trust.

    Revenue Details:

    Monthly membership. $14.95 recurring.

    Traffic Details:

    Referral screen shot available. Referrals provided to serious buyers only.

    I spend $0.00 on advertising. Both back in the day, and now.

    Could the member billing be switched over to the new owner without notifying the subscribers?

    Notifying them might remind them of the subscription and cause them to cancel it.

    Hmmm... tricky.

    I would say the steps to follow would be something like,

    1. You sign up and get approved by Verotel.
    2. Switch out your own sign up codes on the join page.
    3. Then you take over the site, get new members who sign up under you moving forward.
    4. In the meantime, any left over money coming in I just transfer to you until there is no more. Or, you notify members, and have them sign up under you.

    Trust me. If you took over the site, made some improvements, or even started promoting it again. You would be making more money then the existing members now. I simply do not update, or promote it anymore. Yet it remains 1st page SERPS.

    yea, I know what you mean. I bought a hosting site once with existing customers and in the end after canceling subscriptions and trying to get new ones opened ended up with only 1 of the existing customers.

    nice site...

    Thanks for the compliment.

    Ouch. That would hurt (in your hosting example). It's not unheard of. A lot of processors will not let you just sign over an existing account. Or transfer. You can smooth the transition if the site, or clients are worth it.

    Switch out processing codes, and forwarding the deposits to the new owner for a period of time while they replace them. Eventually the old will fade out, or you just cancel them. You can always contact all members. If you have a good site, most will change.

    I have run into this on more than one occasion myself over 10 years. Not on a purchase of a site from someone, but when I have had to change processors in the past. Specifically, when Paymonde went out of business (adult processor), and when I originally changed from BHE to Verotel.

    It's an inconvenience, but there are work around's.

    Follow up:

    The reserve price has not been met on this with the current bid.

    I gave the original bidder the option to close on this for his bid in 24 hours. Then I would be willing to sell for $3k. I will even throw in a new CMS script like my other celebrity site uses so you can upgrade the site (if the new owner chooses).

    The CMS upgrade, and willing to settle for $3000.00 I am only willing to do for the next 24 hours. After that, I can just wait out the auction for more money and no CMS. Go build your own. The site keeps making me money just sitting there.

    Why the offer? Because I have half a dozen sites in some transition of auction, sold, or transferring off my server(s). I want to get those that are going to be sold, gone. Those that are not, I can revamp, sell for higher asking price. Either way, getting tired of baby sitting site transfers. So I am trying to wrap em up.

    If you have the cash, and are ready to go. Serious buyers contact me. We'll get the ball rolling on this.
