I recently decided to give image ads a go on my site in place of text ads. As expected, the CTR rose, but the clicks are worth nearly nothing now. (Page content is identical to before) Text ads gave -> 8 clicks, total: $2.55 Text ads gave -> 2 clicks, total: $1.04 Image ads give -> 7 clicks, total: $0.54 Image ads give -> 13 clicks, total: $1.15 (I know it's not a great number of clicks too tongue Sorry if this is common knowledge around here, but I am fairly new to it all. Is this normal? Is it because there are less image-advertisers and hence less competition? What is your experience with the different ad types? Cheers
As a person who uses Adwords to advertise with I can tell you this I pay a 1/4 for 3 times the impressions and clicks than text ads
sometimes i like to add image adds to the site because they bring some color and liveliness to it but i think they pay less as well, but that could depend on the niche
your right, there is a pretty big difference. I guess you just have to get lucky too sometimes to who is advertisng on your site and how much they are paying.
Hmmm....... Go in Adsense Setup Tab, & Select the option image ads only.. & decide your banner size........ get the code ........ insert in your web page..... that's all..
