Im just about ready to leave hostgator

Almost every thing I install is installed with the wrong permission on there. Wordpress, joomla, yabb you name it. Its ridiculous that they dont fix this.

Also their live support is useles 99% of the time they just make you go fill out a ticket as the live support guys cant do anything.

I have wasted days on tasks that should take 5 minutes.


Is there a good host out there that you dont have to deal with this bs?

yea hostgator sucks, they have declined my purchase of hosting and gave the money back you know? Because some really hard to understand english speaking girl or guy called me at 3 AM while i was sleeping drunk as hell, and told me something i really couldn't understand.

i gave up on share hosting a long while ago since there is more problem most of the times then it's worth

 

lol you mean the live referal system where they just try to send you to the ticket system? Yes ive spent hours on there just trying to ad socondary domains and get wordpress to work with them. Still no sucess but supossedly an admin is looking into it.

It seems to be primarily due to everything with one click installs being loaded with incorrect permission setting.

till now they have always solved my problems....even those which hosts usually won't....like those with scripts.

i have used hostmonster and globat in the past and currently. the globat account was a freebie from buying a template and it has 1TB (yes that much) of space available and hostmonster seems to be working fine for me so far PLUS it is pretty cheap too
