Warning !!! Check Your Adsense Script

    I got a shock yesterday. I am not too sure why I did it but I went to one of my old sites to check the Adsense script.

    And I found something that's pasted below the usual Adsense script:

    <script type="text/javascript"
    src="mhtml:http://172.31.254.253/multipart/www.iivysky.blogspot.com_2_b7b0817b233bf00e79a9b07f2b88aca3.mht!http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
    </script>

    I have no idea what the script is about but it's making me uncomfortable. I am wondering how it got there in the first place and I have no relation with the iivysky blog.

    Anyone can explain what the code does?

    Wow, WTF? I'm going to try and dig up some information on this. Extremely awkward...

    Even if it was hacked, why was the java code changed to that?

    That's messed up.
    Can you give us more information on what script you are using on the site?
    Permissions etc on the files?

    it may or may not be related to your case but is it ads between the posts or in the template?
    if it is manual input ad code within "html" section of the post, once submitted, those javascripts are bound to be changed if not supported by the post area.

    if that happends java scripts is turned in broken or code with your blog url and ip

    I am using Bans and I put those adsense scripts on the left and right bars. The adsense scripts are copied straight from the Google adsense set up page and I don't include anything else other than the adsense script.

    it appears your BAN script needs to be edited in special format or way when you upload or edit

    all copied straight forwad form adsense codes are common to be altered if uploaded in wrong format or the edit are do not support to maintain java structure.

    I think I know, if you use Adsense ready site, then that is the problem.
    Because you just "search and replace" the AdSense ID without know the script.
    Be careful for other adsense ready site.
