I am thinking about running a stumbleupon campaign that points to a digg that points to my site. As anyone tried this? Do you think it would work to get more diggs?
I wouldn't bother using Stumbleupon to drive votes to your Digg submission. Your submission will be dead on Digg before enough people come through from Stumbleupon. Any Stumbleupon users will have to log into Digg in order to vote it up and they're unlikely to take time out from stumbling to specifically vote for your submission. You also run the risk of more people burying your submission on Digg for using underhand tactics.
I don't think that can work at all. SU users won't even bother to digg your submission. They just want to see something they like, thumb it up and move on. I also think that doing that would surely get you banned on Digg. So it's not worth it really.
I've tried this. It didn't work at all. Stumbleupon users are too smart for it. I should have known better. With my 5-cent Stumbleupon ad campaigns I've gotten the best results when my campaigns point at good, original content, and when I use demographic targeting. Since I know most of my readers are females between 18-35 located in the US, I target them with my campaigns.
I was thinking of same strategy .. but never tried Try and say me if you get nice result... As well do vice versa... i.e, submit stumbles page in digg. Say me if you get abnned or not.If not I will try too. But, i am getting one question, what if people only visit those 2 website and never lands in our pages and just get messed inside those website to read your review and story. won't it be funny?
If I am ever linked to the digg article over the actual article, I tend to hit the back button rather then continuing on to the main link. This applies to most things, including forum posts.... in fact, I find myself giving it a thumbs down rather then the wanted thumbs up, as marketing in this way just makes for way too many clicks for me to bother with... So I'm with all those saying to NOT do this!
once i did it first i digged one of my posts then i stumbled my dig and then i diged my stumble and then i got 3 bad reviews
