Usually an "unauthorized transfer" is cleared within max. 10 days and I NEVER heard of anyone the reciever won a dispute, always the accountholder of the account from where the money has been sent.

@ OP: So no need to worry here, you will get back your money

At 10:56pm last night I received an email from PayPal stating that I have been refunded the money in full.

I am very pleased at how quick this was done. I was getting ready for some long arse wait.

I have AVG, Spybot S&D and Adaware on my computer all fully updated and I searched with them all and despite finding some cookies trackers I did not find anything major.

I'm a cynical kind of person and after reading the horror stories on paypalsucks.com I was worried I would not get it back.

Thank you all for the help guys. :)

Most of those horror stories are from retards in India who use fake credit cards, addresses, even doctored documents (utility bills, etc). Thats the whole reason there is a market for virtual credit cards.

When the scum get caught, they bitch loudly (and in broken english). PayPal is fine for the average, rule abiding user.

Do most scams come from India? Should you be careful when buying or sending money to them?

Dean_Saliba, glad it worked out for you.

You dont have the right to call people of any country as retards. Mind your language and be respectable in forums. :)

@Dean: Congrats on getting your money back.
